After failing to lift any grass with Project Harvester, we help cover the silo and unwind with a bit of John Deere therapy helping the neighbours out. A busy day of field prep brings its share of routine challenges, from dodging stones to an accidental fence bump while discing. We take the straight-piped tractor out for a run, shift some bales, and step back from the usual machinery spec talk to have a genuine conversation about life, careers, and the value of hands-on experience.
Episode Highlights
Silo Covering Mishaps: The shift starts with moving tires for the silo, quickly resulting in a knocked-over block wall and plenty of finger-pointing.
John Deere Therapy: Moving bales and hitting the sweet spot on the road for some turbo Po
Discing Next Door: The realities of discing rough ground without weights—leading to a sudden stop and a fresh scrape of red paint on the neighbour's new fence post.
