The search for Atlantis has lasted for over two thousand years. But did the legendary island truly exist, or did Plato create one of the most compelling stories of the ancient world?

In this film, we'll return to the source material and attempt our own investigation. What exactly did Plato say about Atlantis? Why are the mysterious nine thousand years such a serious problem? Could traces of this history have survived on Santorini, in ancient Tartessos, or even in the memory of the Trojan War?

We'll see the real Akrotiri, recall the catastrophic eruption of Thera, journey beyond the Pillars of Hercules, and attempt to separate archaeology from beautiful hypotheses.

And in the end, the main question remains: was Atlantis the memory of a real place, or a great city that existed only in Plato's imagination?

Let us know in the comments which version you find most compelling.
