I would like to suggest that if you have access to a laser cutter to try something that I use where are you spray some black primer paint on the surface and laser it off. The resolution can be insanely high

I note my transfers from Brother laser with Modge Podge/PVA quit working. I discovered Brother had changed their toner. I switched to a generic toner cartridge, and it began working well again. Keep this in mind if your laser transfers fail. I also learned the HP had also "improved" their toner.
