Sorry but I have to put this out there, while understanding tones and making sure people are heard. Theres a very big line between those when being right and wrong. Saying something like "I need you to listen, not tell me im right or wrong, but to valid my feelings" is emotional manipulation, intended or not, and is not healthy validation. Examples "I want to vent and feel justified even if im wrong" - "I want emotional support without accountability" - "I want you to reinforce my version of reality or else your invaliding me". Emotional validation is not moral justification. When someone wants to be heard without understanding or self-reflect, theyre not looking for connection, they're looking for control. Validation is a gift, not a demand. People who refuse introspection or correction are not looking for empathy, they're asking for emotional enablement. Which is not healthy.
