My favorite episode has to be the Atlantic city one. It's great for Linda to finally get some development, a huge change to the status quo, and just absolutely hilarious. Especially with Bob's prime rib plot.
NO FR THOUGH!!!! i cant be prouder to be a bobs burgers fan, one of the only adult animated sitcoms that actually TRY to make good seasons and improve upon the premise
Incredibly silly reasoning nobody else cares about, but Hope ‘N Mic Night will always have a special place in my heart if only because it made Jimtrev go from a relatively niche ship to a main one in the fandom. I was one of literally three people on tumblr who shipped them back in 2015 and it’s been wild to go into the fandom tags post Hope ‘N Mic night and see pages upon pages of posts, fanart and even fics. Back in the day it was so niche that people used to submit fics and art directly to me because I was the only person who actively and consistently made headcanons about them. If 17 year old me was told that in a decade, this ship would have a consistently-updating AO3 tag and a handful of fanartists who were doodling them constantly, and mutuals to talk about them to, they would have lost their mind. 27 year old me kind of can’t believe it tbh. Anyway thank you to whichever writer decided to have Trev sing Bill Withers’ “Use Me,” clearly directed at Jimmy, I owe you my life. (But you’re correct, every bit of that episode is wonderful and it really does feel like a finale of shorts, just a really funny, sweet showing from everybody.)
They Slug Horses was the ultimate Tina vs. Louise episode. I've never seen so much tension between the sisters like this. Gayle was the MVP of the episode... 😏
This season was a real treat for me as a Tina fan. I absolutely agree on your first place. That episode felt extra special to me because Im a younger sister who fought with her sisters a lot. I weep every time I see even any of the scenes from the episode. The scene where they're flying through space is watched through a blur filter because I can't get the tears to stop.
Such a good episode not only for Tina and Louise but also for Gayle and Linda. It really expands on the sister dynamic in a realistic and meaningful way.
That said, the open mic episode is an all time favorite ensemble episode. It's, fun, there's a level of suspense with the fire marshal, the songs we get to hear are all fun covers that fit the characters, and at the end we get one of the catchiest original songs in the whole show. Stuck in my head almost as bad as the Toilet Bob episode song between Bob and Louise
I really love the balance of comedy and emotion this season, we get a lot of those really good emotional beats.
Inga was actually mentioned in the oeder games all the way back in season 5 so let’s just see it was really cool to finally see her in this season after wondering what she looked like for so long
