It's gotta be Jaws the revenge, that stopped the franchise dead in its tracks and 40 years later it still hasn't been ressurected

Best Two Dudes episode yet!

Hated to miss this, but i just couldn't stay awake. Some day my sleep schedule will be normal again! 😆

Congrats on the award nomination Dave 🎉❤

I might be in the minority to have Friday Part 3 in my top 3 FRIDAY movies

1. Friday Part 4
2. Friday Part 6
3. Friday Part 3 (I know you love those crazy noises those bikers make Dave! 😂)

Great Hat Tony!!! - My Hoosiers! - IAM4IU

Great show I really enjoyed the show

As much as I love bride of chucky that’s the catalyst that made the franchise and series go off the rails .

The remake of child’s play in 2019 was pretty good

i thought scream 7 was so good and back to its roots which is a good thing

I agree about nightmare 3 too and for the same reasons.  Lol

I agree with 7. For Friday the 13th.
It just felt different in terms of tone.
It felt like a TV movie.  So did 8. The music just got less and less affective.  The remake is the first scary jason since part 6 probably, for me.
I'm excited about the new series with Linda C.

Scream 7 was the worst horror movie I've seen in a while

Definitely agree about h5 too. It raised too many questions and left them with no choice to make it even more convoluted with 6. So by 7, unless they were willing to go straight to video, to bring laurie back, all they could do is retcon 4-6.
I don't like when people call 4-6 the "thorn trilogy" because H4 had no DNA of those later injections.
So yeah,  I think Danielle carried H5 and gave a fantastic performance,  but it is the single film that lead the franchise downward.
4 is the last time (so far) I feel an almost perfect halloween sequel was made.

Child's Play: I agree with it being 3. I would say Bride does revive it from a box office and reaction standpoint before Seed sends the franchise straight to video and TV.

TCM: Again, I agree it's 2 and I like 2 more than you guys but there was nowhere to go after that which is why 3 basically ignores it. The 2003 remake revived the franchise but then they stupidly did a prequel and the franchise has been pretty much dead since then.

Scream: I think the original run was killed by 3 due to how it did at the box office and critically. I like 4 but it was a failed revival. Scream 5 actually was able to revive the franchise and they are still riding that wave and we'll see if it falls off after 7 which did great at the box office but poorly critically.

Friday the 13th: I'm going to again agree with 7. There's a five million dollar drop-off from 7 to 8 at the box office and it wasn't received as well as 6. The franchise never really recovered after 7 until Freddy vs. Jason but that's a novelty thing and then the remake failed to revive the franchise for another run.

Elm Street: I think it's 4. It's the highest grossing of the original series but I think the quality of it made people not want to come back for 5. Although, I could make a case for 5 where if you see the next film is called Dream Child, you likely aren't going to want to see that film.

Halloween: This franchise has many killers lol. I love 3 but it's the original franchise killer as it kills the anthology Halloween series dead. The first Michael Myers run is killed by 5 with bad fan reaction and box office. H20 revives it just for Resurrection to quickly put the franchise back into the grave. They get another revival with Rob Zombie 1 and Rob Zombie 2 kills it though I'm sure there were people that just didn't go back to the theaters after seeing Rob Zombie 1. Finally, Halloween 2018 revives the franchise one last time. I think you could argue for Kills killing this series dead since it wasn't received as well as 2018 and then Ends did worse financially following Kills. You could also argue for Ends because of how poorly it was received. Like would we have another Halloween movie in the works if Ends was good. It's hard to say.

sidney has never really had a happy ending in the scream movies at all because as long as she live ghostface will go after her and her family and did she go off and get married and start a family yes she did but ghostface always comes back for her so i never really seen a true happy ending for her

This was a cool stream. My choices are:
Child’s Play 3 - Not terrible but a big step down from the first two. The climax in CP2 is so much better.

TCM 2 - I’ve only seen the first two, the remake, and the 2022 film. To me the second one was ridiculous and obnoxious on so many levels.

Scream 6 - I found this entry pretty boring and the climax was way too soap opera-y, even for the Scream series.

Friday 7 - I want to say part 8 since it’s so boring, but part 7 is where you start to see a turn for the worse.

Nightmare 4 - To me the quality of this entry is much worse than the first three. I actually like Dream Child more than Dream Master.

Halloween 5 - The only thing that makes H5 watchable to me is batshit crazy drunk Loomis.

Friday the 13th Part 8
2-7 were good to really good entries and 8 was a big dropoff

Another enjoyable episode, Dave! I just think it's a shame you feel obliged to frequently make caveats for any dim members of the audience, along the lines of "If you liked it that's great, but it wasn't for me."
I know there are plenty of people on the internet incapable of handling a difference of opinion, but any appeal to civility and respectful disagreement will fall on deaf ears with them anyway.

scream 7 is the highest grossing movie in the franchise history big time which is amazing and so good for a 30 year old franchise
