Lane Follow Assist is a lifesaver on long drives.  I also like that Kia/Hyundai made it independent from the radar cruise control.  Some brands have them tied together so you can only have both on or off.

Think of this way LFA is like cruise control for steering it keeps you centered so you don’t have to make all those little adjustments on long highway drives. LKA is a safety system, it keeps you from accidentally drifting out of your lane. I use LFA on the highway a lot, I never use LKA as it can be abrupt and annoying as it doesn’t know my intentions. I just wish you got a beep when LFA shuts off, instead all that happens is the icon blinks and changes color. Sometimes the system can’t see the lane marks and stops steering which is something that should trigger an alert.Other than that it works great and will basically drive the car for you (auto pilot) when used in combination with smart cruise control / HDA (highway driving assist).

Great explanation, and I'm grateful it's now smart enough to follow a car in front of me (at least some of the time) instead of just giving up and turning off when any one of the two lines isn't there.

One other clarification that would be helpful is how highway driving assist works, and how it compliments the LKA and LFA features.  Sometimes all three icons are displayed when I'm driving on a highway.

So, it has been upgraded from the last system were it would not work on secondary roads that did not have a line or lane marker on the right side. Great simple video.

Great demo of how it works. I come from an older car that had none of these new standard features, mostly standard. So great to see for my new car.

Here I have a Telluride abd didn't even know this.  Thank you, Gabi! So far, I've  had the witts about not to follow the car in front of me too close. And I'm extremely good at staying in my own lane. But it's still nice to have that extra layer of protection.

Great explanation! They are great features but don't work well in construction zones where, sometimes, there are no lines or you have to detour into oncoming traffic (which sets off another safety feature warning you about going the wrong way!). But, the most annoying feature, by far, is the coffee break warning that you cannot turn off! You want to avoid potholes, then it tells you to consider taking a break! I wish there was a way to turn it off!

Thanks for the info. We have a 2023 Santa Fe that has the lane follow feature. It works great for long trips on the interstate. I did not recognize it as separate from the lane keep assist.

Gabby, first of all,  you guys are amazing and have given me so many pieces of information that were/are excellent.
I do have a cruise question though. My 2024 Seltos keeps speeding up on downhill drives even if the gradient/slope is not that steep. My 2011 and 2016 Sorento worked perfectly and the vehicle held the "locked" speed downhill. My son's 2025 K4 works brilliantly as well.
I've videod the issue and my dealer says it's normal for my Seltos to speed up on a locked speed, to the tune of up to 12 Kms over the set/locked speed. I had called your dealership to talk to service to confirm that there is a problem with my cruise, But no one called me back. Can you help? George

Just switched from a Toyota PHEV to a Kia PHEV (first Kia ever) and I always wanted to test this out but was a bit cautious about it. Thanks for this demonstration!
