Grace was on American Idol back in 2021, and dang if she doesn't mesh with VoicePlay amazingly.  At the last song(s), use your captions and you'll hear a bunch of VoicePlay's Patrons filling in the background.  I think we need to get the film producer for the movie to get this group for the next film.  Geoff's low note is B0.

Yeah - we really need to thank VoicePlay for introducing us to Grace. I had never heard of her before and now I'm working my way through her channel. Apparently she took 3rd place on American Idol a few years ago.

This has to be one of Layne's best arrangements. I just love the way he mixed up 'Golden' into 'This is what it sounds like'. The two sets of lyrics build upon each other to stress the way our 'scars' lead to who we are (Golden)

Thank you Brad for another great reaction to Voice Play.❤

“Where did she come from?!”
American Idol actually...

For those who don't know, the story of the musical follows a K-pop girl group, Huntr/x, who lead double lives as demon hunters. They face off against a new rival boy band, the Saja Boys, whose members are secretly demons. The songs covered include: How it's Done, Soda Pop, Golden, Your Idol, and What it Sounds Like.
As it says in the description, the movie is "all about accepting who you are, facing your inner demons, and finding strength together", so the What it Sounds Like section features a backing chorus of over 70 of VoicePlay's patrons, represented by the multi-colored lights, all edited together by Layne. He actually asked that no more vocals be submitted two days before the deadline he'd set for them as they had so many files to get through.
Geoff posted a complaint about the crazy descending and ascending ultra-low arpeggios Layne required him to do for What it Sounds Like. "I don't know if you can appreciate how difficult that is... It's two and a half octaves of arpeggio in three measures. Which is like, more octaves than most songs cover for the entire lead over an entire song." Also, he sings a powerful B0 subharmonic in Your Idol.
Layne is "spinning" a can of "VP VoicePlay" soda pop, and Geoff "watches" it fall to the floor after Layne "throws" it.
Some of the lyrics are sung in Korean, but the translations are in the closed captioning for the song.

The part that sounds like a choir was voiceplays patreons ❤

I always keep captions on with Voiceplay.  This was so fast that captions really helped.  Then, when they sang in Korean, both the Korean script and the English translation was there.  They even captioned a couple of the beat boxing segments.  And "Voiceplay Patreon Voices" was the identification in the choral section.  They invited all of us to contribute, I wish I had not chickened out.

I think we can all expose voiceplay and grace after this as NOT FREAKING HUMAN AT ALL

She came from planet riff

I'm old, and my kids are grown, so I've never seen K-Pop Demon Hunters, and didn't know the songs before VP covering it. That said, this is absolute FIRE!🔥I was very impressed by all of them, singing and rapping in KOREAN even! Cesar sliding up into the stratosphere? Unexpected and totally beautiful!! And Geoff's bass was so sexy on Your Idol! That B0? 🤯 Eli being so perfect and intense, killer beatboxing from Layne, but man, the pipes on Grace? WOW! What a powerhouse vocalist, with so much swag! And that final mashup was crazy! The inclusion of 70+ of our voices (their patrons) during the final chorus was exceptional, such a creative idea, and it was beautiful! the ending mashup was PERFECT! This entire thing was amazing from start to finish! MAN, we'd be lucky if Grace joined VP permanently! You should watch it again with VP's captions! Loved your reaction!

Got to love the Parton Choir in the background.

GEOFF BOY IF YOU DONT QUIT IT I'M ABOUT TO SPEND ANOTHER 100 ON NEW HEADPHONES AGAIN CHILL BOY

What it sounds like is my favorite song from the movie, this medley was fantastic and then all of a sudden What it Sounds Like they knocked it into the stratosphere

If you haven't seen the movie yet absolutely do. Voiceplay didn't just nail the blend of the songs, they did it *in the order those songs happen in the movie*. They didn't even need to shuffle things around to make it work.

Grace was on American Idol 4 yrs ago but you got to watch her , she should have won in the finale

A M A Z I N G 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥‼️

6:11 that note is a B0 which is the 2nd lowest note on a piano and yes hes hit that note multiple times and has even held it for over 30 seconds in their video "valhalla calling"

🔥🔥

What a ride! Grace and VP killed it! Ready to listen again and again. Thanks.

It's a VP soda can.... and it's sfx, done by Layne.

Now go back and watch with captions,  cause you missed a lot.
