it’s actually crazy how these episodes are considered lost media and may actually still exist, just hidden to the public

Black and White was the only series where Team Rocket actually felt like REAL villains, and not just annoying comic reliefs. At least in the first two seasons

The episodes being canceled makes me wonder how Black and White would've unfolded if they did air

I wonder how different the trajectory of the BW anime's story would've been had these episodes aired. I feel like people would've remembered early BW more fondly.

3:52 “The power of the sun…in the palm of my hand.”

didn't expect you to cover 2 lost episodes of black and white but here we are

I’ll never forget how disappointed I was when I went on Serebii and saw the episodes were postponed. They didn’t scrap them immediately, they originally said the episodes were just delayed, but eventually we go so far along that they retconned it.

Interesting how we got some buildup for the Yamask James catches later on. Kinda wish these episodes were officially released.

I'm so mad we never got this. Team Plasma's my favorite evil team, and it seemed the writers agreed. Would have loved to see what they did with N and Zekrom's connection to Pikachu.

It's honestly pretty upsetting that this was removed because you can tell that the special getting erased completely altered the structure the series was building up to that point and eventually led to what we ended up getting.

Its wild how this one 2-part special getting scrapped, really messed with the Gen 5 anime's structure. Like yeah, Best Wishes already was by no means perfect at this point... But this one special getting absolutely erased, just screwed with its structure even more. It really makes it feel like the universe itself was against this series.

Obviously though, its understandable. RIP to the victims of that tragedy.

This seemingly explains why Palpitoad was caught, it was temporary replacement of Krokorok for Elesa's gym.

MY CHILDHOOD IS BACK

The only time, imo, that team rocket actually felt threatening

The fact the episodes  themselves are considered lost media but the scripts aren't so it's like really difficult what was in the official episode before they shelved it for the public not to know. Amazing work on your interpretation based off the scripts Zac! :_ThumbsUp:

I noticed in the Anime...

The evil teams are ALWAYS trying to steal either a Pokémon or a magical object.

we were absolutely robbed. i still can't believe we actually got the script for this a few years back
now if we could get an ost release for bw-sm sometime...

"The sun will shine on only me"
We were robbed of this becoming anime cannon

I've always wanted to see these episodes since 2011. It's such a shame the rest of the BW series was ruined by the rewrite

I really wish we got to see this all play out in the series.  Not only would it have made the Black and White anime amazing, it would’ve been a faithful adaptation of the Team Plasma plot line.

Thanks for sharing this with us, Zac.

When I first watched these events it was crazy how they remove this plot knowing how cool it would be if the creators posted those episodes. Team Plasma and Team Rocket would have their proper rivalry battling for Unova, though it would be shown in public introducing their characters.
