What makes Quan-Chi’s leg beat down so iconic is the fact that, much like Shang Tsung, he’s a sorcerer and could do many creative things with his powers but he opts to show others he isn’t afraid of dishing out a good ol’ fashioned beat down—with their own leg at that.

HOF QB Tom Brady during his 2007 undefeated regular season: i must make a mortal kombat guide

Fun fact: Quan Chi's leg beatdown fatality is Ed Boon's favorite fatality

Sorcerer Quan was some of the most fun I've ever had in a fighting game. You could just feel your opponent get salty when you drain that meter.

I'm glad that Tom Brady took a break in his nearly undefeated season in 2007 to make a Quan Chi Deadly Alliance guide

Whether it's intentional or not, I love how Quan Chi almost always ends up as this martially below-average fighter with scummy tricks; whether it's stealing the opponent's weapon, or hitting the opponent with unblockable/hard to blockable loops, or making people eat a ton of safe chip damage

Ah yes, Quan Chi's special power
The power to grow the neck of his opponents until they become giraffes

This is mind boggling that a tournament event would not make sure that part of the setup was ensuring that every console would have all the characters ready to go, instead of basically going "Oh you're a tournament level player? Go speed run the story mode to unlock your main."

I audibly gasped when this popped up in my feed. I’ll never forget seeing Quan’s face on the side of that old arcade cabinet as a kid. Been playing ever since. ‘Till they decapitated him, ig.

This is the first time I’ve ever heard someone refer to him just as “Quan”

@shujinkydink 4 years ago

imagine spending money to go to an event just to unlock your character smh lol appreciate the shoutout

Quan Chi has a UNSTOPPABLE weapon glitch in MK4. If you use the spiked mace and did the uppercuts, you can spam chain it until max damage, and you can keep on doing it as the knockback animation doesn't end before he gets up.

I know these take a lot of time and effort to make, so I gotta say I appreciate you putting these out as often as you have!!!

I know the fandom loves the arcade cabinets of MK and MK2 but the MK4 cabinet holds a special place in my heart for Quan's portrait on the side . Loved the bony hands on his Warlock variation.

I’ve always loved how Quan Chi is not only an extremely powerful sorcerer, but is also a simple, yet brutal and effective melee fighter. It’s like he trained combat just enough to know how to cause his opponents a great deal of pain even without his magic
