I always liked the explanation in hitchhikers guide. That UFOs and extraterrestrial appearances are just alien teenagers having fun.

I am 66 me and my mate used to go to cradle hill and star hill alot in the 70 and 80s still go about ones a year now but every night in my garden seen some strange stuff in the sky we are not alone

I remember the book UFO Over Warminster from the 1960's, it was quite exotic not to mention legendary among us Junior School kids at the time.

I'm a bit surprised to hear there was a sighting over Langdon Hills. I used to live there (1970's, 80's) and never heard any stories relating to UFOs. I did see an absolutely smashing meteor flare across the sky though, so close I could hear it.

I lived in Warminster for about 2 n’ half years as a kid, stationed there with the Army. Was 1970-1972 ish, my mum and I have seen lots going on, mostly Orbs but a couple of times ufo’s. That’s when I’ve been onto the subject ever since and seen many times that were not from here !

I myself am from Warminster but Warminster Pennsylvania usa, our claim to fame is that were the first astronauts trained. 2 blocks from were i grew up. No ufos or much paranormal in that aera that i know of.

The sounds described early on make me think of snow thunder. It's completely surreal if you've never heard it, and it can sound pretty scary with an odd echoing metallic scraping sound. It was over Winter when it began.
