I know everyone agrees with me so no need to comment

The audience at a wedding in Israel is divided into two groups: the older ones, the uncles and aunts, who want to get to dinner time and go home, and the younger ones, who want to dance with the bride and groom all night. No one wants to sit for half an hour listening to speeches.

מי פה ישראלי?

You forgot to mention the amount of guests invited to an Israeli wedding vs an American one. After Covid many Israelis discovered the joys of a small wedding, but before that the minimal amount was like 200 guests.

The speeches and introductions take place on the next Shabbat after the wedding, when the entire family from both sides is together in a hotel or guesthouse... dining, praying exe... This is the case mainly in religious and observant families.

You forgot how it's always an open bar, and no one will charge you for anything in an Israeli wedding

I do prefer giving money and not having to fret over what gift to buy.

It is important to note the Sheva Barakhot, these are the seven days after the wedding when every evening family or friends organize a family feast for the couple. This is a very important element of the Israeli/Jewish wedding
and it is the time to get to know the families and hear about the bride and groom from friends and family. And we haven't even talked about the Shabbat hattan..

Hmmm....things have changed. The parents used to split the cost of the wedding and guests did bring presents. Today, weddings have become expensive over the top events. Much depends on the socio economic and cultural background. There are trendy Friday morning Tel Aviv brunches officiated by a secular officiant (with a partnership contract), Haredi weddings and majority huge affairs with blasting music.
Most of the weddings do have assigned seating but it is often ignored. And yes, most older generation guests try to escape as early as they can.

There are no speeches, but there are music videos or dances that the family or cousins have prepared.

You forgot to mention that (1) the issue of the money gift is often what makes it possible to invite a great big fun crowd; 300-400 no one bats an eyelid over, even 500, and that's only doable when guests 'help' by giving money. (2) and the meal is often served / buffeted fairly soon after the ceremony, which leaves time for dancing; then after dessert the 'oldies' often go home and tables of finger food and snacks are brought out for the younger crowd, bride and groom's friends, who dance on until 2 am or more. Fabulous idea.

The dress code depends how religious the wedding is.

That’s what we did in the Netherlands and it still happens. We paid for the wedding with the envelope-revenue. We already had my apartment with everything in it. So we didn’t need the x-amount of extra 😁toasters

In most case you have  a table assigned - table for colleges, table for family, friends etc. But it isn't sit whereever you want

Photo magnets are for every simcha here, weddings, bar mitzvah, bat mitzvahs. The dress code depends on the population and we are pretty diverse Jewish population. Overall you’re not wrong it’s less over the top and formal than America. But daati communities are usually chinos (black, navy or khaki) with a white button down. Hareidi weddings  do suits and yes there are a Ton if Hareidi weddings

As an Israeli-American who lives in both countries, I like watching your videos so much. Like, aside from the places that as a newbie here you just didn't understand, which of course anybody who lived in Israel enough time then rushes to correct you,  you are so observant and really catch the differences in a special way.

usually the grooms friends also make a special T-shirt and when they start dancung they change all into them and its usually something only they understand like an inside joke

I absolutely love wearing a tie to a wedding in Israel. This is the only possible time we ever still get to wear ties here. I look forward to a wedding just to wear a tie once again

Regarding seating arrangements, it is not accurate that everyone sits where they want. In the past, they would appoint someone from the immediate family to ensure that each guest is seated in their designated place, but today most people use wedding production services, and then each guest who arrives says their name and receives a table number for seating.

1. My dad showed up to my sister's wedding wearing his standard "smart" clothes: a nice pair of jeans and the most basic white buttoned-up shirt. Literally no one batted an eye. Just wear something nice and not beachwear. Unless it's a beach wedding. Dress light but bring something warm to throw on, you never know what the A/C situation will be inside (or outside), it's NUTS.

2. Weddings are often on Tuesday, not just Thursday, because it's considered an "extra-blessed" day according to the Book of Genesis.

3. I've heard many speeches at weddings (and even gave one), but it's rarely something everyone has to sit down and listen to; no one will even notice if you pop out for a joint or head over to the bar to get plastered before the dancing commences. If we want to know about the other spouse's family, we walk over and introduce ourselves and sit down and have a conversation. Y'know, like humans.

4. You absolutely do get assigned a specific table (but rarely a specific seat), and they usually do try to pair you with people from your own close family; but really, you choose your own table. I'm pretty sure I've spent at least one entire wedding not even sitting at any table. There's always at least one nice couch. If they're serving food at tables only, just track down a waiter and ask them to bring a meal directly to you, they will always do that.

5. Plan ahead with the food: the hors-d'oeuvres buffet is almost always better than the main course, so taste everything and then stuff yourself with whatever you enjoyed the most. There's also about 30-60 minutes (during the ceremony itself) where you have no access to food and sometimes the bar is also closed, so make sure to stash food and drinks if you can. You'll thank me.

6. Unless you're a close relative or a close friend, literally no one will notice when you leave. But it's good practice to at least congratulate the bride and/or the groom right after the ceremony so you have hard proof of having arrived.
