Again, its always totally fine to go and stay zero contact with bad family. So glad the OP got out of that awful household. Just imagine how terrible the niece and nephew are going to be once they are teenagers and adults.
This is so stupid. Why keep up the facade of pretending to live there when OP has got somewhere instantly to move out to? The AI has gotta AI I suppose. 😑
14:52, Honestly I would have taken a photo of the little monster Watch in Hand first. Reason is this will look good in court when you sue for Repair Costs of the Antique Watch. 29:04, "Vicky said she had over reacted, and WE should move past this for the family," Isnt it funny how the Biggest Abusers always think they have the right to decide when You Need to stop expecting to be Respected, instead of abused. 31:47, "Can we talk about fixing this, about being a Family Again," Problem is how do you become a "Family Again" when you have treated him like a Second Class Citizen in his own home sine his sister was Born?
Not a great story, the damaged watch was his fault not the child’s, you had a room and should have been moved out as one of the most important items in your possessions, That 8 year old sounds like he is going to be a world class thief picking your lock, your friend could have held onto it until you moved in. The Guy knew what his family was like, he grew up being treated this way, he wasn’t conditioned by them but simply complied with his parents. Any normal person would have walked as soon as the £1400 was demanded, told his parents he would think about it and start hunting for an apartment. Soon as found, tell them straight, don’t want to pay the rent and move out, what can they do. Sometimes these story’s are too far fetched and get boring.
