EDIT; stupid dyslexia mistake i misread the title of the film "i heard the ammonite murmur" and labeled it as "anemone". i dont really understand how i did that but thank you to the patron who brought that to my attention. theres literally an ammonite in the footage i used. shameful.

Everyone quiet my show is on

”have you seen revolutionary girl utena” followed immediately by the most unhinged car transformation sequence ever. i think she’s seen utena guys

Your definition of "evil" kind of fits with the way I was describing wanting more games that, like certain anime OVAs, just feel like they're going to hard cut to a real photo of a dead body.

FROG RAINCOAT ROLL MENTION

hazel has unfortunately changed the way my brain contextualizes the words “evil” and “perverted” in my head making it confusing to others when i use them in these kinds of contexts

there’s such a sense of wonder in not knowing about the existence of any of these games and just now learning about them. it’s like when you’re a kid and you hang out with the cool older kids that had games and manga you’ve never even heard about but are fascinating either way

The PlayStation can produce mind-boggling effects.

"it breaks my heart there aren't new playstation 2 games coming out every day" i feel that. spiritually

The hazel video can produce mind-boggling effects

"It was a job that would take 15 men 8 weeks to complete. So, they hired 30 boys and were shock when it took twice as long." is a line that manages to be both low-key and hard as hell.

"Direct to DVD sequels to Yoshi's Island" is the most amazing perfect way to describe those games holy crap

"nobody's is making Croc inspired docs about the guy who invented the polio vaccine"

fuck, idk, maybe someone should at this point. maybe it's what we need right now.

In 4th grade I my class was instructed to write a step by step recipe on how to fry an egg. I got marked down for "using way too much oil" even though that is a standard way to fry an egg in my culture, so you get a crunchy lacy bottom and a soft creamy yolk.

I cannot thank you enough for keeping the name of the thing you're talking about in the top-right at all times, drives me mad when I have to go "what the hell are you talking about" all the time

The "I don't like walking simulators" part of me is at war with the "Edith Finch rocks my socks" part.

Revolutionary video! Great work on this one, Girl! Utena

hazel, i just want you to know that i have adhd and my wife is autistic and somehow you just made us sit and watch this entire fuckin hour-long video unplanned on a whim, without a single distraction. im obsessed with this era of video games and especially the obscure and strange, and there were a ton even i hadnt heard of !! you do such great work, love everything you put out and endlessly appreciate it. great subject matter and TRUE deep dives, but also you are such a fun, silly, and loveable personality. i turned my notifications on for all of your stuff after this mwahaha

Genuinely uplifting to see a hazel upload.
