We're spending 24 HOURS STRAIGHT eating through San Francisco's CHINATOWN to find the absolute BEST Cantonese food! As someone born and raised in Hong Kong for 20+ years, this place became my family and community when I moved to the Bay Area — and it holds an incredibly special place in my heart.

This food tour takes us through Chinatown's iconic institutions: from VIP Bakery’s Baked Pork Chop Rice and HK Milk Tea to classic dim sum and roast meats to R&G Lounge's legendary Salt & Pepper Crab. Together we are going to find out whether San Francisco's Chinatown can truly compete with the authentic flavors I grew up with back home.

I used to work in Chinatown and VIP was my go-to lunch place. I missed that pork chop rice. Thanks for bringing back the good memories for me. That's my uncle at Capitol eating. lol

Damn haven't been to VIP in decades. Used to go at least once a week. My fav back then was the baked beef over rice, minced beef (add fried egg) and Ying Yang milk tea iced.
