Venerable Alubomulle Sumanasara Thero
A Theravada Buddhist elder. Born in Sri Lanka in April 1945. Ordained at the age of 13. Taught Buddhist philosophy at the National University of Kelaniya. Came to Japan in 1980 as a government-sponsored student. After completing his doctoral studies at Komazawa University Graduate School, he is currently engaged in Buddhist missionary work and meditation instruction at the Japan Theravada Buddhist Association. She has also appeared on NHK Educational TV's "The Age of the Heart" and served as an instructor at the Asahi Culture Center. She has authored numerous books, including "Buddha's Philosophy of Happiness," "The View of Impermanence," "Not Getting Angry" (in Japanese), and "Freedom from Anger" (in English).
