Monaco looks like a perfect world of superyachts, luxury apartments, casinos, and unimaginable wealth. But what is it actually like to live in one of the smallest and richest countries on Earth?
In this documentary, we go beyond the postcard image of Monaco to explore the reality of everyday life, from extremely expensive housing and limited space to taxes, citizenship, commuting workers, and the close relationship with France. We also uncover why Monaco became so wealthy, who actually lives there, and what money can—and cannot—solve.
This is the Monaco tourists rarely see: the people, the numbers, the rules, the contrasts, and the everyday life behind the luxury.
If you enjoy documentaries about extraordinary places, hidden realities, wealth, lifestyle, and how people really live around the world, subscribe for more stories that go beyond the postcard.

For lunch I went to the market, incredible food, not seen anywhere in the world. I don’t care to be a resident or citizen there, but I don’t mind to visit from time to time. There is something for everyone there. Can not wait to visit next time I am around, hopefully in winter when there is less crowds.
