Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has accused the Minority in Parliament of double standards and dishonesty in its criticism of Ghana’s decision to join BRICS.

Speaking on #TheKeyPoints, Ablakwa claimed that the Akufo-Addo administration’s cabinet had also considered joining the bloc, questioning the Minority’s current position on the matter.

I have been an NPP card bearing member all my life but this is a National Issue and very important one as such! Join the BRICS is the way to go. No supper power owns Ghana as a country! We are not bound to any country or block! We should make decisions based on the current circumstances and what the country needs. And I think BRICS is the way to Go!

When it comes to Ghana and its growth, the NPP and their roots, are hypocritical, selfish and unpatriotic. They've been the woes of Ghana since independence, helping foreign powers overthrow the visionary Nkrumah. Now that Ghanaians are getting more awake and sensitive to development than party colours, they should keep NPP in opposition for at least 2 decades for Ghana to have real flesh.
