On September 5th, 2026, I experienced firsthand one of the coolest moments of the Santa Catarina Cycling Tour: the Volta SC Challenge – Serra do Rio do Rastro.

The amateur race started in Lauro Müller and finished at the Serra do Rio do Rastro viewpoint, pitting road and mountain bike cyclists against one of the most emblematic climbs in Brazilian cycling.

In this video, I tried to show much more than just the competition.

I followed everything from kit collection and all the pre-race banter, met the group at the gathering point, watched the start, and followed the main athletes during the climb.

Along the way, I met Naiára Iracema Arendartchuk, who was leading the women's road race, and I closely followed her climb to the finish line and her victory.

And stay until the end because the video concludes with the awards ceremony for the Volta SC Challenge – Serra do Rio do Rastro 2026.
