So happy for Hawaii on senior night, ruining LBSU's undefeated season!

Great redemption after losing the game by extras three times. This was so well-needed because for Senior Night, it's a big deal. The last time they lost on Senior Night was in 2013 and Charlie Wade surely didn't want to remind himself about that season, where not only did they lose on Senior Night that year, they got devastated by BYU in the MPSF quarterfinals after that. Getting this win is a huge impact and cushions them a chance to the other half of the BWC tournament bracket where they could possibly make it to the finals of the tournament and a possibility for a spot in the NCAA.

You would think that after a marathon match that lasted over 3 hours, both teams would have looked tired. But at the biggest concern from this rematch, because of such a heartbreaking disappointment for Hawaii's sake, I thought we were gonna be expecting a repeat history of last season, where LBSU whooped them in straight sets right after reverse-sweeping Hawaii in 5. But seeing how much they just didn't give up in that 4th set despite falling early 3-0 and to come back and force a 5th set again shows character that they don't give up. But in this series, Rado still has to clean up his errors. 39 kills with 17 errors in 79 attempts. While yes, it's not good numbers for Rado, it's kind of a bit of a learning curve. But when they didn't give up the 4th set and won, it shows the team's attitude as a sign of maturity. This kind of teamwork is definitely something that they need to keep if they're going to win the BWC tourney or possibly the NCAA tournament.

While Irvine probably wasn't happy to see Hawaii win against LBSU, but I bet they're probably happy to see LBSU finally lose.

As what USC would say, "Fight On!" Go get that NCAA chance again, Bows!

Love that the 'Bows won this! The first game showed that they could effectively push themselves and LBSU to their limit. This game displayed Hawai'i's  will to win especially against the best team in the NCAA. Excellent weekend and congrats to Tui and Mamane!
