The axe was hilarious, but i also lost it to wade just literally walking straight into a freshly laid bear trap

Can we talk about how perfectly timed the first happening is? We got the comedic scene with Axe-face, the laughter slowly fades, suddenly strange noises echoe through the woods… Our heroes go to inspect the noise… and find a dead body-  It’s pretty much an actual horror movie-scene!

“GUYS COME IN THE HOUSE HE PROBALLY CANT GO INSIDE HOUSES!”

”HES IN THE HOUSE”

I like how it organically assumed a form of a horror movie trope: a merry company that's having a good time, then they hear gunshots and suddenly no one is laughing anymore. Then the discovery of a corpse. A few more jokes after that, but the general tone is already additionally blackened by Mark's intentive listening of the woods, expecting trouble nearby.
This accidental scenario just makes me happy. It makes me happy that a videogame helped to produce something like that.

Mark: puts trap down
Wade: "suicide is badass!"

I love how they’re laughing at the axe face, but then, just like in a horror movie, we hear a distant roar and the atmosphere completely changes. 😳

Bob and Wade having fun. Mark:
"Guys, you hear something?"
Also Bob and Wade:
"Naah, you're just getting forest madness."

The beginning to every horror movie.

I love how the first thing Wade yelled was "HE'S GOTTA SIGN!"

The “Guys Bigfoot set a trap!” was so fucking funny

Wade: uhh.. guys there's a Big-
Mark : Kalm
Wade: HE'S GOT A SIGN
Mark : Panik

"He's gone forever."
*Bigfoot immediately roars in the distance*
"UNRELATED! UNRELATED!"

I am genuinely speechless at the cinematic pacing of this game. Straight after the HILARIOUS axe throwing game the boys got up to, the ominous sounds start happening and the mood switches. I have never seen such cinematic moments happen so organically in a video game! Unfortunately, the reveal of the monster was really underwhelming as it just sort of jumps out and it turns into a maniacal spray and pray against a complete bullet sponge...

“He probably can’t come into houses.”
“I closed the curtains!”
“He’s in the house.”

Bigfoot growls
Bob: "Is that good?"
Wade: "Imma hide behind this tree."
Mark: "I'll stand out here in the open."

Yep, this pretty much sums them up in a nutshell

Bigfoot: enters the house and completely ravages everyone and everything

Wade: ...but i closed the curtains...

I'm sorry but Wade standing into the trap immediately after Mark placed it made me wheeze

Wade: “it’s not like we would ever leave your side”

Also wade: “where’s bob?”

The "Axe BIG Incident" is proof that Mark, Bob, and Wade are a bigger threat to themselves than Bigfoot.

Wade: "he probably can't come inside houses!"

Mark: HES IN THE HOUSE

The whole bit where Mark wanders off on his own and silently stares around him while Bob and Wade goof around is straight out of a horror movie. I just wish Lixian had put in some distorted music there.
