CORRECTIONS (none of which actually change a move's tier):

1. I got Greninja's Substitute mixed up, it actually deals fixed damage instead of scaling with what it's countering

2. Villager and Isabelle's Pocket apparently no longer requires a pull every 30 seconds to avoid the item despawning, that was a Smash 4 thing I didn't realize had been changed

I love that the character from the “eat projectiles and spit them out” series is heavily punished when eating projectiles and can’t spit them out

I think the Animal Crossing characters' Pocket has to be one of the most interestingly designed anti-projectile moves in Smash.

I love Falco’s reflector a lot. It makes me sad a lot of fangames and mods go “no Falco’s reflector must act like how it does in Melee” instead of moving forward with how cool it already is.

Kazuya's reflector is so funny to me because it doesn't do that in Tekken. That game doesn't really have projectiles, or at least not as many as Smash does

A story about Palu's reflect. I was playing online against a Mewtwo. He fired a Shadowball, I reflected it, Mewtwo reflected it back at me, my first reflect was still active and so reflected it BACK at Mewtwo. My reflect shattered, but it still reflected the now OHKO Shadowball. Mewtwo was stuck in end lag from his first reflect, and left the screen in 3 - MAYBE 4 - frames.
I then pulled this against my friend, got him with it, and he was so confused! It was great!

Only ever comes up in reflect wars, and I doubt competitive Smash has those, but it's utility that technically exists.

Sora's counter not sending projectiles back is such a weird choice given that he literally is able to deflect projectiles like that in the actual KH series, especially KH1 which his Smash moveset is primarily based on.

As a Sora player, I know I'd appreciate the anti-zoning tool lol

Falco's Shine is so funny to me as a Zelda main because it rarely actually does the whole "Reflect Phatom back at Zelda for MASSIVE DAMAGE" thing because it causes it to whiff or lose too much momentum.

More often than not its much better at just stuffing out Phantom charges in general and since its got good hitstun and low lag its basically just a "No" button in the match-up. I appreciate this design, no doubt, but it is kind of funny to me how much of a brainless option it can he for such a swagtastic animation.

24:00 Robs arm rotor is honestly f tier as a reflector. It's so committal and then even if you do land it, the lag is so bad you won't get to take advantage of the opponent getting hit. Going for the move is straight up detrimental to your game plan. You can ask a lot of rob players and they'll say to just pretend there is no reflector.

This isn't even going into the fact it's only one of robs arms that reflect, meaning if the projectile happens to hit while the wrong arm is forward, it'll just not reflect

i actually think Lucas' PSI magnet is a lot worse for anti projectiles, because the windbox will literally pull snake's grounded grenades to blow up on Lucas' blind spot 😅...

As a duck hunt enthusiast, I think can should have been included, as there's a tech called can anchoring which stops it taking knockback from projectiles, and it's super useful in projectile heavy matchups

Also you didn't mention on gunman how hitting the legs of the scrawny cowboy or the hat of the one in the black suit keeps them as a stationary hurtbox that blocks opposing projectiles for much longer
