Shoutout to @SergiRomero on X for the awesome thumbnail art! Happy Friday :)

I understand why they made version exclusives - but as someone with no friends, it has definitely been irksome over the years (Had to trade with myself between 2 DS all my life lol)

I feel like for Sun and Moon, Turtonator and Drampa should have at least gotten a mention. In Sun, Turtonator can be found about halfway through the game, but in Moon, Drampa isn't found until the literal final area of the game.

Mantine's version counterpart is actually Skarmory if you look at their stat spread. I think Delibird's gold counterpart is actually gligar. Finally, Sneasel isn't a version exclusive, you can find it in both gold and silver unless you count crystal where you find it in Ice Path.

Sneasel isn't exclusive to Silver, you're thinking of Skarmory.

I'd like to add that Zangoose learned Swords Dance at level 10 in Gen 3, as if Seviper wasn't screwed enough.

I can’t believe JPR burned his house down because he forgot to water his pasta

Basically, the only major thing Seviper has really going for is being the ace Pokémon and outfit inspiration for Frontier Brain Lucy, one of the best designed female trainers period.

For in-game, I would consider Lilligant to be vastly superior to Whimsicott. The fact that Whimsicott is a fast status user with middling attacking stats with the best status move it can learn via level being Stun Spore while being pure grass in Gen 5 hurts it. On the other hand, Lilligant is one of the few non-bug types that gets Quiver Dance naturally, and it can pair it up with Petal Dance for massive damage and Own Tempo to not get confused. While it may be a one trick pony, in a playthrough, that one trick can lead to Lilligant dominating.

Its a stretch but you can sort of pair the paradoxes thanks to the story like how penny runs into either iron bundle or scream tail depending on the game or how either a bunch of iron hands or a bunch of brute bonnets surround you after the giant door opens.

Cooper Manning is actually the eldest. He went to Ole Miss on a football scholarship as QB but found out he has spinal stenosis and was forced to quit or risk paralysis. Peyton used his number, 18, to honor him.

Mantine's counterpart is actually Skarmory. They very clearly have matching stat spreads just with one good physically and the other good specially. I always thought Delibird and Gligar were counterparts, and Sneasel I seriously can't remember its Silver equivalent

You fool.
Dragalgae is also a Poison Type

Thumbnail goes incredibly HARD 🔥

I can confirm the Kraft’s Mac & Cheese story. My house almost burned down but thankfully Orbeetle, the superior ladybug Pokémon, was there to save me and my house 🙏 (Ledian did not survive the fire)

If Glameow was available earlier, it might have been usable, but the problem is that you need 5 badges to access it, as opposed to Stunky with two

based on where they show up it's actually kinda easy to tell which paradox pokemon are counterparts. Besides the Volcarona and Donphan forms, Iron Valient and Roaring Moon are the most obvious. then Iron Thorns and Sandy Shocks. I'm fairly certain Iron Bundle and Scream Tail are counterparts. Same with Iron Jugulis and Flutter Mane. Which just leaves Iron Hands and Brute Bonnet.

To to make it worse for Glameow, it is found after the 5th Gym while Stunky is found on the bike path before the 3rd Gym

Gamefreak: we want players to look at a Pokémon and get a good idea of what it can do.

Also Gamefreak, faced with Purugly: give it s p e e d

3:18 buddy, you can not be serious. Dellibird's counterpart isn't Mantine. Mantine's counterpart is Skarmory. They literally have opposite stat spreads (until Mantine got buffed) and are found in the opposite extremes of the Johto map.
