We are living more and more with a gun at our feet. More recently, above our heads. We count missiles, drones, military satellites. We count dollars and euros for defense. Two percent, three, five. Who gives more, who buys faster, who is prepared if something happens tomorrow. And we probably have to. It's just that, busy calculating how much the next war will cost, we kind of forgot to calculate how much the next peace would cost. Because peace doesn't just mean having enough weapons so that the other person is afraid to shoot. It means an economy that produces. Energy that you can afford. Children who have somewhere to learn. People who believe that in ten years they will live better, not in a better bunker. Here it seems that the great powers have run out of plans. We have military strategies until 2040. But a big idea about how we make the world more prosperous and less angry? On this chapter, peace.
