He plays the character so well because it’s his character. He auditioned for the game and didn’t get anything but he did so god damn well they made up the character of Vaas and modeled it after him

To this day Vaas is one of the best antagonists in video game history. And Far cry was a huge deal back then and it’s still a great game.

The guy who plays vaas is such a fucki g legend, his abillity to make people laugh and be so disturbed at the same time is fantastic
As a fun fact, you can find Chris buried on the sand inside the game and it gives you an achievement

Ahh.. the man that taught me the definition of insanity. He's so good at voice acting, he's played a bit part in the show Psych as well. The sixth game is a must have - again for a good story.

I can't believe it's been so many years since we voted for Chris to be alive. I love how they actually listened to us and made it almost interactive

Vaas gave me nightmares as a kid. My dad told me if I ever misbehaved, he’d sell me to Vaas.
What a great Villain.

Michael Mando is such a great actor. His acting in Far Cry 3 and in Better Call Saul is unbeatable

I absolutely love Michael Mando as Vaas! I really hope he gets to shine as Scorpion in the MCU which he was teased in

Vaas is a complete and total psychopath, but damn if he isn't entertaining as hell to watch. You had it right about the actor, talk about commiting to a role. Love this whole thing, can't wait for next week for more Far Cry 3. Cheers!

God I love these videos. Ubisoft was so cool back in the day.

Back when ubisoft wasnt a hollow corperate monster

You know you made a great villain when they appear on the game case cover art. Far Cry started that trend with Vaas. And what’s crazy is Vaas was originally supposed to be just some random minor enemy in the game.

During audition, Ubisoft liked Michael Mandos so much they made an entire character just from it. He had to improvise and come up with dialogue while in character. When Mando did a screen testing where he thought it wasn’t very good. Then when E3 2011 came out, the trailer Ubisoft showed for FC3 was that exact same screen testing and he was caught by surprised

Vaas - IM PISSING ON HOLLYWOOD!!!! 😂😂😂😂 💀

@nicaalex6062 4 years ago

29:40 that last scene was actually an reference to the actual game.right in the beginning of the game when the main characters from the game land on the island and get captured by vaas.

To this day, still one of the best villains ever! It's one of those instances where the actor was just born for a certain role. Michael Mando is just outstanding!

@kevinworytko1099 4 years ago

Fun fact: the 6 skydivers at the end is your group at the beginning of the game

"Hello, welcome to my show" is an asmr line for me. Mintz experience is an alternate timeline which Vaas Existed. The philisophical view of stoicism line is how it shows that his past was he was a good guy.

@MatthiasNCF 4 years ago

Vaas is such a good villain, I always keep forgetting that Hoyt Was The main one

@daytonhuth3622 4 years ago

Vaas is one of my favorite video game villains. He’s so weirdly intelligent for what he does on a daily basis. He reminds me of a smart person that went crazy, he slips between a loud yell of terror to a soft voice of reason.

@aechangel627 4 years ago (edited)

Far Cry 3 is the only installment that did a special mini episodic show to promote the game before it’s release and still proves to this day that Vaas Montenegro is the best villain in the whole franchise and one of the best villains in all of gaming history.
