The opening was so great😂😭

Pretty sure the reason mage boosts suck compared to other combat styles is because magic is also a utility skill.  The mage potion is supposed to be like an agility potion and not liked a ranging potion

10:40 there's a reason they're called forgotten brews. Literally the best magic pot in the game before heart

47:21 Gnomemonkey is right in that you want to pick the things that effect you the least. The problem is the modifiers are heavily based on Ultimatum from Path of Exile where it is very much possible to build out your character in such a way to minimise using the effects that can be modified, which in OSRS you can't really do.

The shard idea was good, but i'd change it a bit like, if you kill slayer monsters, you'd get shards or any other suitable item that you can use to spawn their superior form like u can with ensouled heads. You can stack them up and kill multiple superiors in a row. This gives a lot of chances to hit the table in a row. Make the item the rarity as ensouled heads or even a bit more rare and this is a more enjoyable gameplay loop for imbued heart. I like Mortimer though.

Damn! Wasn't expecting a second one this quick :D

I completely agree with the sentiment at 40:30. For first timers I think Raatys advice of don't BP spec until the melee-er hits you is safer and more consistent. Especially for players, mostly IMs, without Lightbearer.

Magic boosts give you access to new spells, including utility spells. Attack, Strength, and Ranged potions don't give you access to do things you wouldn't otherwise, which is why the magic potion is much worse.

"do not eat play-doh" - tasty, and also the safety labels on the play-doh

Great episode. Spoke about comunism, tripping balls from shrooms and cheating a autism test. And that was just the first 3 minutes.

best start in all podcast history

I've said it for a while now. I think that there should be a Slayer's guild.
And once you get into this guild, there is something to the effect of a 'hunt board'
This 'hunt board' initially has 3 options that you can do. And with some increments, you open up additional task options.
You earn Slayer Guild points, let’s call it… ‘Renown’ or something, to spend on permanent bonuses like an upgraded Bigger and Badder, Imbue for Slayer Helm, insert other ideas here.
Maybe a controversial idea here, but maybe there is some in game recognition once you’ve done so many tasks. Maybe you earn ranks. Not like competitive ranks. But like… a title of sorts. Like after you’ve done 100/250/500/1000/… tasks, you get ever upgrading cosmetics from the guild. Maybe Guild specific cosmetic Slayer Helms.
Or once you’ve done have 1k tasks, you can do something cosmetic to your Slayer Cape.
Maybe this is where you unlock the Void Slayer Helm.
I think this kind of plays into the Monster Hunter hub kind of feel.
Say you get access at Level 50, you’ll have a whole bunch of ‘Monster Hunters’ running in and out. An actual community feel. And maybe at some point, we have like.. Hard Mode solo bosses like you would do Zulrah, Vorkath, or Jad or something. And you can go in as a Slayer Team and take on more difficult version of the boss, with like 10x HP. Drops are based on participation. But drops are also more common.

I feel like they should’ve made invos in Colo work on mobs and the player. Could then make the mobs stronger or have them scale up in difficulty a little more.

Invos could be viewed as power ups then too, and may change what gear would be best based on invo.

29:03 - the secret to fast yt uploads is to have an editor that actually watches you live. (basically a fan)

When you think you're watching a runescape video and the intro is about communism & shrooms

Gnomonkey definitely has a sub 10s 3x3 Rubix solve

My wife just peeked over my shoulder and said "It's a hair sandwich, with a tomato slice in the middle!"

Got turned off from shrooms in college when my friends said they would go into the woods and talk to trees.
