Hey I lived in an rv for 2 years starting my telecommunications company, I was in Jacksonville FL most of it. It was pretty nice for most of the time but florida weather made some days extra fun. Keep your head up and you'll make it work. I can tell what you're going through by the way you talk about it, I've been through it too. You're a strong man and you'll look back at this point in life and be amazed how much it forged you into a stronger person.
awesome work! transparency is key - I think you need to look into annual contracts or something to hold restaurants and other larger vendors accountable for longer relationships. I am also in this transitional period expanding our ops we should do a podcast sometime! 🍄❤️
Thank you for this video. I've been farming mushrooms for two years. I love it, but its not for lazy or immature people. There are no setbacks just learning opportunities. You must be willing to learn from your mistakes. You will make lots of them. (mistakes) 🤣
Really appreciate your thoughts on the matter and your generosity with information on the Mossy discord. The quality of your lions mane is pretty inspiring.
I’m at the end of my first season at market and it’s been an exciting/occasionally terrifying run. Lots of small victories and many, many humbling episodes.
Congratulations on your expansion and all the best to you and your family!
Amazing dude...I work a full time job and have poured so much time and effort into what I'm doing. Sometimes it's daunting, but it feels worth it to me. I'm not ready to quit my day job yet, but I'm growing! I'm so happy to see someone talk about it like it is, and not this glorified pipe dream that so many people think it is. Thank you, this has been one of the best mushroom videos I've seen in awhile. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Couldn't agree more bud! It has been one hell of a grind, but we'll never look back. I think a live Q&A would be a great way for people to pick your brain about things. Maybe do it while not driving lol
Thank you for the honest talk! Liked and subscribed without even checking further the channel.
My honeymoon phase is fading out and I start to think about how would my curent and future investments bring something in return.
I started one month ago with a lions mane lq syringe. I grew more lq, made some grain spawn, 2 decent petri, attempts of cloning other species, growing molds of course, all good experiences to learn from. I have also spent time watching videos, reading some P. Stamets and doing diy's.
The goal for now is to grow for myself and will see if this can be a profitable side thing. Anyway, I'm far of leaving my job over this but mycology is a nice world.
I'm sure you will keep the good. Greetings from Romania!
Really enjoyed that you shared the realities that aren’t offered often. I would be very interested in a livestream. Thanks a ton, and glad to hear about you starting a new chapter!
Been a hobby farmer for years. Experimenting with LC’s, etc. Hopefully we can get a grant soon to start a smaller scale farm. BUT, THIS WAS WHAT I NEEDED TO HEAR. My hats off to ya sir. And I got the Sub button
Thank you so much for this. I've been growing mushrooms just for myself for 10+ years, and have occasionally thought about scaling up for farmer's markets and the like. But I learned years back that the quickest way to grow to hate what you love is to do it professionally, so I never gave scaling up much thought at all. But this was so honest and detailed that I'm wondering why it didn't occur to me years ago.
Someone who can talk honestly about the nuts and bolts and the rough patches is rare. I just wanted to let you know that I really appreciated it and have definitely subscribed.
