Shinedown is a phenomenal band! I love so many of their songs.

Fun fact. At the time this was recorded one of the band members was married to Ronnie Van Zandt's daughter. Their daughter, Ronnie's grand daughter, is the little girl in the video holding a picture of her poppy.

Brent is a self taught singer. His interview with Elizabeth is absolutely amazing, he explains how he trained himself

Shinedown never misses. Entire catalogue is amazing.

For an original Shinedown song, try "Sound of Madness"

Shinedown took Halestorm on the road in their early days. Former guitarist, Jasin Todd, gifted a guitar 🎸 to Lzzy Hale, which she paid forward , 3 years ago, to Dany from The Warning.

Definitely, check out Shinedown - 45. I tend to prefer the acoustic, but the studio is nothing to dismiss.

Brents voice is like a big warm hug………..

One of the best voices in rock n roll.

You should checkout "what a shame" , if you want to hear Brent's raw emotion in his voice . I understand Brent himself has a hard time getting through it and thats why they rarely do it live .

Brent has a phenomenal voice. Highly recommend checking out 45 and Sound of Madness. Also Through the Ghost and Amaryllis.

Literally any song by them is quality. Well maybe like 95% but Brent (the vocalist) himself said that the bands truest representation is from their album Sound of Madness. So anything off that, including bonus tracks.

Me and my wife took our kids to see Shinedown for their 5th birthday. We saw them for our 1 year anniversary when we’re 14 and still listening to them after 23 years. If you want to hear some of their deeper songs I’d start with monsters. That’s one of my all time favorites but my number one favorite is how did you love. That song is about when you pass away how do you want people to remember you. When it comes to their emotional songs Brent’s voice isn’t just unique it really brings out the power in the messages in their songs. He is a remarkable person with a big impact on people who are out there struggling. During an interview he talked about how fans have approached him thanking him for saving their life and he responded with we didn’t save your life we just helped give you the push you needed.

They have an amazing live version performing in the UK and definitely should check that out. Brent's voice is unbelievable and shows his live singing voice.

This version has been giving me goosebumps for 15 years every time I hear it. Very seldom do I love a cover more than the original but I actually don't enjoy listening to the original by Skynyrd. Obviously it gave us this cover and I appreciate it for doing so but Shinedown and Brent just put so much damn emotion and feeling into their cover that it feels like 2 entirely different songs. They well and truly made it their own.

I have heard Shinedown perform in a tiny little 400-500 capacity venue, and I have heard them in mega stadiums headlining and they gave just as much in both shows and sound damn near studio quality in the performances. Its incredibly uncommon to find bands that sound remotely close to "studio" perfect but they definitely do.

Also the band is so incredibly humble and kind even after blowing up and all the fame. I hope you fall down the Shinedown rabbit hole and just recorded 8 videos to release because their songs don't miss and damn do they have some deep emotional songs complimenting their hard rock anthems.

Julia, you beautiful human...welcome to the Shinedown Nation! I've seen them a ton over the last 21 years and they age like whiskey. Brent, I honestly think, has the best voice in music and two weeks ago in Chicago, I was screaming, singing, headbanging and crying, all in the first four songs. To us fans, Shinedown and the lyrics are so important

And there is a story Brent had with drugs and such where in returning home to his parents, he realized, he had to leave in order to get a "Second Chance" thus the name of the original song.....

Shinedown broke the Beatles record for the most #1 songs on the Rock charts

Great reaction.  So many Shinedown songs, and a ton of live performances on YouTube, worth checking out.  The acoustic version of Call Me, from Kansas City in 2013, with just Brent and Eric, on keyboard, really shows off his voice.  And, very tasty harmony vocals from Eric.  They are touring now, and just got see them a few weeks ago, always a great show.

One of the best covers ever. Brent's voice is so great and powerful. You should react to Sound of Madness, Second Chance, If You Only Knew, Symptom of Being Human

Brent's vocals have always been powerful, but over the last 20 years they've grown and progressed.   I just saw them a few nights ago in Ft. Worth, TX and the show was amazing.  Definitely check out Daylight, A Symptom of Being Human, Call Me.   Their entire collection is excellent.  They did an acoustic show "Somewhere in the Stratosphere," which gives a good sample of Brent's vocals live.
