The first Billy Jack was the best one. I am Native from a Tribal Nation in Alaska. I went to school in Seattle area in junior high. I was treated with respect after the Billy Jack movie came out....👍🤔👍
Tom Laughlin was trained in Jungian psychology and that comes out in this film like when he has his vision in the desert, when he talks to the elder towards the end of this excerpt and when he counsels the kids about violence as he is coming down from the mountain.
IF YOU REMEMBER BILLY JACK !!! DOES ANYONE ELSE REMEMBER THE COMMERCIAL * WHERE THERE WAS A NATIVE AMERICAN STANDING ALONG SIDE THE HIGHWAY,,, WITH TRASH AND POLLUTION AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE !!! AND WHEN THE CAMERA PANS BACK TO HIM ,,, YOU SEE TEARS RUNNING DOWN HIS FACE !!! THESE MEMORIES MADE ME THE PERSON I AM TODAY !!! AND I TRULY THANK THEM FOR THOSE LESSONS IN LIFE !!!
I grew up around stoners and hippies. You know what they weren't? Bigoted jerks. They were very peaceful, accepting, and preached, 'Make love, not war.' Billy Jack was a one man army, demonstrating that peace was impossible without war. Perhaps, the finest example of the Human Condition. One I shall never forget.
Loved all the "Billy Jack" movies. I'm from Chicago, north side, I remember, clear as day watching them at the Century Movie theater, on north Clark Street. God, I cried watching them all. Thank you.
