Kitchen Makeover: My Favorite Room Now!

It's the first of many home renovations I plan to do!
The kitchen in my new house was so bland and boring that I just couldn't live in it. After some painting, wallpapering, backsplash, wainscoting, and vinyl stickering she's cute enough to cook in. Some of the renovations are rental friendly because I plan to redo this room again in the future. It looks completely different now and it's so much more warm and inviting. I know it's not to everyone's taste but it's mine and I love it🥰

The giggling that occurred during your "be cool" sequence... I guess I'm not that cool 😂

So many of the crafty tubers posted videos this morning. I'm in heaven. Love the new kitchen. I'm also someone who thinks everything should be green. 😂

Please DONT demolish this kitchen! You brought it back to life! 🙌🏻💚

I love this whole project! I love the fact that you're taking the opportunity the temporary nature of this update to do everything you want to try, sometimes for the first time, and it came out fantastic!

Yes, I sang the title.

I'm impressed! You saved that kitchen's life. And the dining room is fab as well! Household remodeling and repair is 99% hard work and 99% instinct. Yes, those numbers won't add up, but I'm sticking too them.

I haven’t made it through the whole video yet. However I want to give you a heads up about butcher block as a counter top. Our home has butcher block on the island and the counters and I absolutely do not recommend putting it around a sink. Like we don’t have kids or anything, it’s not like we’re just letting water hang out on the wood counter, and after 5 or so years of getting water splashed on it from regular use, it’s looking rough. We do apply wood oil and conditioner to try to keep it protected which does really help it look better so it works for us for now. But I’m just saying that a major renovation like you’re planning to eventually do is not cheap. So if I was renovating my kitchen I would absolutely not do the butcher block counters again. I DO love it on the island though because it isn’t getting regularly hit with water and it brings nice warmth. Just trying to save you the pain of your counters looking damaged and like poo only a couple years after making the investment in them 🤷‍♀️ it’s looking gorgeous so far!

That looks absolutely adorable. What a great change to make it more fun to live in until you can really do things as money allows.

I love how the kitchen turned out. The green color of the cabinets is so good and that mother of pearl peel and stick tile is so good. Thanks for sharing your process with us :)
