There’s so much that is attractive about this game: making a map/puzzle; fast turns; feeling clever. But the mathyiness and planning is so long I can’t see me ever playing this game with success. What a weird intertwining of high and low complexity.

"Hey man, get some good green in here." :D

I feel Nikki's pain. I scored 4 points on my first game. It frustrated me as well. Heaven and Ale is a punishing game that you need to play a lot to learn to play well.

Bonus points to Lincoln & Nikki for their appropriately-themed shirts.

I have wanted to see this game for a while :)

"You can barley pay for it."
I almost stopped watching.
:P

I watch the game plays and forget to like each one. Sorry. But I do enjoy watching all of you play. Thanks.

Wow, Dave smashed it in! This looks like a game I would like to play, but I can't ever see myself owning it...

Regardless of how well or how badly you might do, this seems like a fun game that I would play if given the chance :)

If you want an Oktoberfest beer game, play Goldbrau.  Sweet breweries, beer gardens, a pretty maid. 10 times simpler.

It would have been great to hear more discussion of what you thought went wrong with Nikki's resource levels in this one. It didn't look like she played badly, but it's hard to see detail on the board in the video. Was it that she didn't get to activate the right tiles at the right time? Were the tile values in the wrong places to be helpful in pushing the resource counters up? We heard a lot about how this compared to other games that we didn't even see, but very little about how to improve the experience next time for a player who had a frustrating time.
That said, I've been interested in this game since I saw it at Essen last year, so it's fantastic to get a closer look. Thanks for the great work!

This feels like a game I would be good at, but I will never, ever play. I'm sorry, Dave.

Dave’s score was actually 89+1 for the 1st place space plus he should have taken the 2 point barrel for 6 1s, bringing him to 92 points. Impressive.

1:38:30 There’s an edit cut (“we were playing Dave’s game”) where I just see Lincoln being super pissed off and yelling at Dave until they reset and shot the ending again. ;)

At 1:32:55 Dave should also have picked up the barrel for having 6 x 1.

@56:00 ish, Nikki moved her brewer 1 space by activation but I don't remember seeing her move the brewer based on the level of the tile placed BEFORE choosing which two tiles to activate.

09:30 Would help if they actually showed what he was explaining. Made the activation explantion pretty hard to follow.

Can you please play more deckbbuilding games pls thanks

I love Game Night, particularly the post game discussion. However, I do still cringe when Nicky’s game be described as though she isn’t there “she did this”, “look at her board”. I really believe that no one here means it in a mansplaining way (my partner is quiet and does not always relish a post game discussion as much as others I play with) but I just thought I’d share my feelings.

Really enjoyed watching all your Kennerspiel and SDJ game videos so I can finally watch your full discussion vid and be fully informed! 🤓

I struggled to watch this one. Maybe I need a bigger TV. I'd probably grok it better if I were actually playing it.
