We name our vehicles and machines. We're weird like that.

Sounds like the animals know who's honest and trustworthy.

Humans are the Golden Labrador Retrievers of the Galaxy

I’m surprised the story didn’t bring up how we domesticated apex predators.
Good story.

Good story. Thanks.

Too many asterisks, asterisks in the narration, however.

And nobody measured the emotional state and pheromones and scents being exuded by those trying to initiate contact? That's one of the first thing we humans teach to our kids - be gentle, be calm, move slowly and let the animal breach that last part of the distance. It's all part of non-verbal communication.
And if it doesn't want to? Leave it be and back away. Consent is important.

I wish people would stop using the symbol in the story because the AI cannot understand them.

Maybe you need six fingers on your right hand to befriend alien creatures ?

What’s with the asterisks?

asterisk asterisk, i actually miss this AI tick from a year ago lol. Much better than the sudden inappropriate voice changes yowls and static that happens now.

I'd love a story that explores how light changes between a wave and a particle depending on the person testing/observing it. We still don’t have a good answer for that. Maybe that's sometning that only happens with humans?

once i bought a mule at an auction and the mule was vicious. it would charge you and hunt you. wasnt halterbroke or gentle in any way. at all. i worked with it for about two weeks and got nowhere.... the horse shoer said hes just misunderstood. i said no.... he is wild and mean. but he insisted on buying the mule from me. i sold it to him made him pay cash and got down on my knees in front of him and thanked god for it..... two weeks later the horseshoer was in the hospital with every bone in his face broken. the mule attacked and stomped him..... so the moral of the story is,,,, dont assume something is misunderstood. sometimes its just vicious.
