i think that's similar to when he said he can only carry up to 50kg and his fans started to diet and exercise, he didn't tell them to "don't do it, be satisfied with your weight, it doesn't matter if you're fat and heavy".. instead he encouraged them and said that that's a good thing because they will get a healthier body..
also when he was asked about chasing dreams.. other celebrities would usually say "chase your dreams, just continue until you succeed".. instead he basically said to "consider their family circumstances.. if they can support themselves while chasing their dream then do so"..
