Moved to tears just thinking about the loss of such a great talent and the way she was used and taken advantage of. The greatest performer of the 20th century. RIP Judy .. we still love you.
I have been a devoted fan since before I could talk from what my parents have told me.. I was only 2 years old when she died, and am now 47. I have spent my life reading every book, buying every album, watching every movie, tv special and interview about Judy Garland that I can get my hands on.I was crying by the time this interview ended. I have no rational explanation why Judy Garland touches my heart so, but she always has, and she always will.
I loved Judy, and Lorna seems, from every interview I've seen with her to be just as loving and kind and funny and down to earth as her mother. To me, that, in and of itself speaks volumes as to Judy's character and who she truly was as a person.
As long as Judy garland is loved she will be alive. There are times when I see one of her films or specials I feel I can hardly bare her being gone, so I will love her speak well of her and watch her over and over. Thank heaven she can still be seen . She was only 10 years older than me so I have been honored and privileged to have her in my life for many years. Thank you Lorna, MICKY ROONEY, ANN MILLER, SWEET MARGARET OBRIEN, for the wonderful comments of this remarkable person. Yes I am frustrated and hurt to the depth of my sole for the tragedies, but The talent, voice, sense of humor, and style, came from within her and not from anything else, except maybe GOD himself. How I love JUDY......Syd Curtis
