This may not be the most "forgotten" game, but I think the players on both teams are fun to look back on, and this one was definitely a classic!

Both defensively and offensively, yan Gomes was the player of the game

as an indians fan this year was so hard to get over. we were the #1 team in the AL just for us to lose to a wild card team

I’m a Yankees fan and I don’t know how we cameback after this game. Being down 2-0 and blowing a 8-3 lead in Game 2.

I remember being on my way to watch the Dodgers and Diamondbacks NLDS and was watching this on my phone. I went ballistic after that Lindor homer!

Gomes representing Brazil and making us proud. Glad he got the ring in 19, the second Brazilian ever, but he was an actual important player, the other one was just on the bench. Yan also caught the last ball

The Joe Smith punch out of Sanchez is one of the best pitches Ive ever seen in baseball 🤘🏼

still can't figure out how that 2016/2017 indians roster didn't win it all

That Lindor homer is so iconic, especially because of the call by Vasgersian. I remember I had just turned on the game when Lindor hit that

This was the last time in the 2017 postseason that the Yankees lost to a team that wasn’t caught cheating

As a Yankees fan, we won this series, so I can look back at this with happiness.

Even though this may not be a forgotten classic, This is a great classic game. I was hoping the Indians would win it all that year.

this year hurts so much to think back on... Indians were the best offensive team that year...and their pitching was fantastic....mega talented team..with so much heart. What a team

I thought we were cooked after this. I still can’t believe that we came back after that, The guys rallying behind Girardi was one of my favorite moments in all my years following the Yanks
