On a technical moment, Ganondorf does win in one timeline, we just play the timeline that splits the timeline into 3. The one that leads to majoras mask, the one where Ganondorf loses, and the one where link never returned that leads to windwaker.

Frank Fontaine was God tier until his stupid ass boss fight.

I mean with what we know about Mr House now with the show and expanded easter egg media in Fallout 4 and 76, I'm pretty sure everything went according to plan for him so maybe he did win

The best part in Jade Empire is that several people comment on you having an odd flaw in your style that they couldn't exploit.

I remember the first time I played Infamous. The Kessler twist had me going nuts. God tier writing

Bhaal actually does win in the end.... eventually the player character gets killed by a previously unknown bhaal spawn and the Lord of murder finally returns.

I have played Baldur's Gate for 30 years. Never once have I ever thought of... that...

Kessler kinda flubbed the landing with his plan though. He wanted to make Cole able to fight the beast because he regretted not saving his family. So he kills Cole's girlfriend that was his wife in the future so Cole can get strong enough to fight the beast. He threw out the baby with the bathwater. But he did get him to save a number of humans from the beast.

“Ball Spawn” 😂

Kessler DID WIN. He did EXACTLY what he wanted to do. Just because we beat him at the end of the game doesn't mean he failed. He got what he wanted. His plan succeeded.

LIQUID!!!! 😡
Did you like my sunglasses? 😎

Liquid’s biggest weakness was his villainous monologues. My man just had to gloat and spent 20+ minutes explaining the whole nefarious plot to the protagonist just to get back at his big brother.

If were talking about villains whose plan was thwarted by dumb luck, the Dr. Weil from Megaman Zero 4 counts, he had everyone corned with Ragnarok, only to have everything fall apart because Kraft shoots Neo Arcadia after going rogue

Hell Quan Chi showed just how badass he really was by the collection of revenant characters he had under him including some of the most powerful characters in the series honestly he should have took out the characters one at a time and just increase his revenant army to ridiculous proportions then fucked everyone else up

Grave Mind was the most interesting and last genuinely good antagonist we ever got for the Halo series. Real shame they never actually did anything with it. Basically a couple cutscenes with it and done.
