I like how you still provide context and history for the viewers who might be newer. Good effort

The Ray Williams bombout was some pretty questionable strategy. He weighed in at 14 kilos lower than his last meet, which was only three months before. He was clearly sick, and he would only need to be within 140 kilos of his best total to win the meet.

Chiara Bernardi's bomb-out on bench at World Games was a pretty recent and shocking one as well.

The way Sonita and Bonica bombed out on deadlift is the same way a weightlifter bombs out for a very small press out during the jerk.

Big Dogs was definitely a huge throwback, I was in the same boat. This was pinnacle of lifting for me hahaha ProRaw, Boss of Bosses, Kern Open, Reebok Records Breakers

Justin Nguen now will never take that record as 59 because he's officialy switching to 66kg class, he said that he was losing consciousness cutting to 59s, he wanted Worlds to be last competition in 59s

1985 USPF Senior Nationals, a huge number of big name lifters bombed out. Lamar Gant, Larry Pacifico, John Inzer, Rickey Dale Crain, Joe Ladnier, Dave Waddington. Reffing was highly controversial as you might expect.

Markos always said "everyone's using the same equipment", and he was right...but holy hell I hate that monoliff with a passion 😂 it's so awkward when you're getting set under the bar for a squat.

I actually never understood why Sonita was not given good lifts on her 1st and 2nd deadlifts from the last Worlds. The calls were too harsh, IMO

William ball going from 794 to 920 in such a short period of time is suspicious as hell, somebody test this guy cuz’ no way he is 100% natural

Weird that if you bomb out it’s not just counted as 0 and they just DQ u

I think Sonita was honestly lucky with some of the Sheffield calls on her deadlifts, because they don't look like she's properly locked out... so I wasn't the least surprised when she failed at World's due to lockout.

But, seems like she's been working on it, so I hope to see her back on form.
