Amiodarone is a class III antiarrhythmic that is primarily used to treat ventricular arrhythmias. However, it can cause a large variety of side effects, which often cause patients to cease use of the medication.

I have been on Amiodarone for two and a half months now. I have also been on it before. Some of the side effects may start after you have taken it for awhile

Ich hatte jodunverträglichkeit und vergrösserte schilddrüse was niemand gemerkt hatt damals und war nach aufsättigung mit amiodaron vergiftet erst heutzutage wissen die kardiologen von der toxität von amiodaron und müssen ihre patienten unbedingt gut darüber aufklären und das sie bei ihren hausarzt regelmässig ihre inneren organe Überprüfen lassen müssen das ist ganz wichtig

i was on this everyday post an a-fib incident 14 months ago. i've gone down to one every 5th day, being i've never had any problems post cardioversion.

Other reviewers of this drug suggest up to 17% of patients experience pulmonary fibrosis damage, with up to 10% mortality. This drug was originally withdrawn from the market in 1967 due to side effects. I think the research is inadequate and skewed. I think this drug is very dangerous. Its side affect profile is disturbing. The pharmaceutical drug companies pay many millions $$ to have several studies conducted. Only the very healthiest test subjects are used. Then the research studies that shows results that DO NOT FAVOR DRUG APPROVAL ARE FILED (HIDDEN TO ALL PUBLIC INQUIRY). The research data is selected though a skewed methodology where only the most positive research papers, on only the healthiest people are ones that this and all others are based on. I believe this drug IS prescribed without appropriate caution.

going on 6 weeks off this stuff by my own choice and off the i pill every 5th day. no problems. i'm getting quite a stash saved up if anybody needs any, LOL! my neuropathy has greatly improved. i would live with the neuropathy gladly if i needed this pill, but i don't!

I was prescribed this medication after my mitral valve replacement. It is making me feel very groggy and dizzy and just yucky. I asked if I could not take this medication, but my doctor is not excited about that plan. I’m about ready to dump this pill.

A range of 3% to 40% tells me nothing of value other than the fact that our studies are not helpful. Watching this presentation makes me wonder if I should just die now and be done with it.

I am on this medication and I have learned a lot from this video. I have cut my dosage down from one twice a day to 1/2 one twice a day but my blood pressure and heart rate is too low and I am tired all the time. I think I will cut down to 1/2 once a day and see how it goes. I have a dr appointment in 6 days. THANK YOU FOR THE INFO

Most informative indeed : I have cut my dose in half as a prelude to stopping completely. My Cardiologist said I 'need' this medication (after Valve replacement & also a suffer of heart failure) BUT to me "the side effects are not worth bloody benefits - full stop" ! . . . Thanks so much for this particular Video 👍🏻🦘from 'Down Under' 🦘
