What do Parisians love about Japan right now? I'm a Japanese woman in my 50s living in Paris, and today I'm taking you inside "SUPER JAPON," the Japan-themed event at Le Bon Marché: onigiri, chilled mochi, Hello Kitty collabs and, of course, a little shopping!

Le Bon Marché, the iconic Left Bank department store, has dedicated an entire event to Japan, so I went to see what's really on the shelves.

In the food hall, I found onigiri from Kunitoraya, sweet buns from a popular bakery I always stop by, chilled mochi and plenty of other tastes that take me straight back to Japan. I also sat down with Jennifer, who planned and runs the event, to hear the ideas behind it.

In the lifestyle section, Hello Kitty and My Melody team up with French brands, and the results are so cute I couldn't look away. In fashion, I discovered pieces made for playful mixing and matching.
