In this video, we compare two incredible reels, the 2024 Shimano Twin Power FE and the 2024 Daiwa Certate LT.

Both of these reels are phenomenal and are jam packed with technology and features, but one stand out to me as a better buy.

Awesome video with a clear presentation of content. I have recently come back to Shimano, and I am actually looking to purchase a 2500 Twin Power.

Very happy with my JDM 2024 Twin Power 4000PG.

Great reel. Yes ultra smooth on the retrieve. But the biggest surprise is when casting. The line just shoots out. Like it's self-propelled. 😊

I bought a 5000 size spool too. Great reel.

Having owned and fished these reels for quite awhile now, I do have to say that I prefer my certate as the all purpose reel. Still love both either way though 🙂

I have both these reels. Both excellent high quality reels. Honestly when it comes to spinning reels it's really comes down to the feel you like. I'm a solid core type guy. Twin power is very powerful and feels so solid. Certate is also, but in a lighter feel sense, if that makes sense😂. But for $120 difference I give a slight edge to the twin power, can't go wrong with either choice

I use Shimano stradic FM 1000 HG for casting
Shimano is the best reel of the world 😅

I own both…. Both are super nice, but the Certate is by far the better reel. It’s really not close.

I HAD the Daiwa 2024 Certate LT. Out of the box felt great buttery smooth all the things you said in the video. First time bridge fishing for Sheepshead, I lightly banged the bail wire against a piling. Next thing you know I couldn't turn the reel. That light bang/bump badly bent the bail wire. I equate the Daiwa to an exotic sports car where if you hit even the slightest pot hole, you throw the entire alignment out of whack. Pure finesse real ideally used from a boat or other non-obstructive platform.

I agree the Shimano twin power is my go-to reel.

Have used both diawa and shimano at their highest end and the saltiga vs Stella is a no brainer to me especially for the fishing I’m doing but the TP and Certate is a way closer call love my high end diawa but the affordability of the TP can’t be overstated. I will say I have to service my shimano reels a bit more often than my diawa reels and I don’t service my twin power myself nor do I service my saltiga same way I wouldn’t want to do the service for my Ferrari so the mag seal isn’t a big deal to me. Do your research and figure out which would be best for you for me it’s diawa for others it’s shimano no shame either way

I live in Japan. Twin Power price vs Certate Lt, no brainer, TP is my choice, and glad I live in Japan at the right time. TP all the way if purchased in Japan.

I Bought the 24 twinpower c2000s

@mohammedsayutiujud6317 1 year ago

Changed from Shimano to Daiwa reals since the LT range… liking the thicker bail arm and smooth feel and light even if it’s a cheap real. + it to a Tcurve Shimano rods 👍🙏😋 that’s my choice

Just bought a 24’ Twin Power 5000 paired with a 7’2” heavy Jigging World Night Ranger. The combo is about 13oz. I kayak fish inshore in New England and got this for larger plugs, plastics, etc. for stripers. The Twin Power is absolutely spectacular. It’s a beast of a reel. Expensive, sure, but my god does it perform well.
