I watched 10 tutorials and for some reason everyone does it differently, although it turns out the same... I only got it right with this tutorial, thanks
I’m joining the leagues of people who were losing their minds trying to figure out european 4-in-1 until finding ~your~ video. Thanks for making it easy!!
From 2 years ago ... My dude. I've been making maille for about 3 hours now. Well maybe 15mins making and the rest being confused why my project isn't looking right, of why it's so difficult to put a jump ring in. Thank you so much.
this is the BEST tutorial for this weave. i just started my chainmailling journey and i got a tutorial book and i literally couldn't do it while i had 4 in 1 units laying flat- i hadn't even really begun and i was ready to quit!! i'm sooo thankful for you and this video. being able to hold it in my hands was the only way i could do it. i only wish you could make more tutorials for different patterns!
Oh my god you are a life SAVER! This is my first time ever doing chain mail and your tutorial was insanely helpful. The different colors really helped and now I'm over here wondering why I myself didn't start with colored rings. Definitely coming back to this whenever I need help again. THANK YOU!
If you are a beginner please watch this video. I watched many videos while waiting for my first set of rings to arrive then I watched them again while I prepped them into opened and closed rings. Of course I attempted to chain without a video and my rings were stacked. This is the tutorial I came to. Within 3 minutes my rings weren't stacked anymore, I made a row of 19 rings in 5 minutes. Then added a row to the left, like in the video and was done with that in no time. I made 2 sections of 19 rings and when it was time to join my sections together, I was able to apply these instructions and I got it on the first try. It was so awesome I actually laughed and walked away. The tip about the thumb placement is pure genius and helps you remember which way your working even after you set your piece down or twist it. The 2 colors helped tremendously. It's been 2 days since I started and I've already chained the belt portion of my hip drape for Ren Fair. Peter Curson Teacher, your instructions are clear and concise. Thank you for sharing this. I intend to check out the rest of your videos and I hope you will make more chainmail tutorial videos soon. Increasing, decreasing, triangles... Thank You!
Hi sir, I know this is an old video but I want to tell you how helpful this video has been. Your teaching is really clear and concise and I love that you color coded. I have been able to figure it out each time you explained something new. Thank you for what you've provided with keeping the chainmail art alive and for educating new learners.
