There’s a story about Tommy playing a concert and halfway through he asked “Are there any guitar players in the audience ?” Someone shouted back “Not any more !”

He started playing when he was 4 and is considered the world's best

This is what I love about Tommy. Doesn't matter if you're a total noob or an expert, the moment he starts playing all judgement goes out the window and you just watch with a big smile on your face. True entertainer that exists entirely outside the snobbery that comes with celebrity.

Tommy's brother Phil was amazing too! When an interviewer asked Tommy what it's like to be the best player in the world his response was ... "I'm not even the best in my family." 😂

Tommy is THE BEST guitarists on the planet and that is no exaggeration. Seen him live in Chattanooga.

Tommy is our boy, 💯% Australian and one of the best in the world.

Been a TE fan for many years. One of the best guitarists of all time. Now this will stun you.... he never learned to read music.  And he is one of the few guitar players that does solo tours all over the world and his concerts always sell out. He is one of the five guitar players Chet Atkins labeled as Certified Guitar Player.

When Tommy played with Goldrush in Australia he played drums, as his brother Phil was the guitarist. Phil was a GREAT guitarist with so much soul. Much more reserved than Tommy and just lived a quiet life with his girl. He passed a few years back now. Tommy seems to channel Phil’s ability and is now the greatest acoustic guitarist still going around…… also, Tommy is just such a cool guy. Totally genuine decent Aussie and has never forgotten his roots.

Nobody even comes close. He can play any genre as good as the best in that genre. He can instantly sit in with anybody.

One of the best musical performances I have ever seen in my lifetime! Best wishes for England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

That performance was in 2006 - 20 years ago.  His last show of this year was 9 days ago (December 13, 2025.)  I was there.  He has STILL got it and is still blowing away everyone who hears/sees him.   If you've never seen him perform live, you MUST.  He is the GREATEST. :-)

Tommy Emmanuel is the most skilled guitarist there has ever been. All the greats from Les Paul to Jerry Reed and even Chet Atkins all claimed Tommy was the best.

Tommy Emmanuel is the absolute greatest of all time acoustic guitar player .. he is also insane on electric! He also tours the world almost non stop .. incredible energy and beautiful person ❤️

Tommy is a freak of nature.

The BEST ever-PERIOD! Go see him live and get as close to the stage as possible. It will be a memory you'll cherish 'til the day you die!

Tommy’s the best in the world

Absolutely the best acoustic guitar player ever.

Tommy has been acoustic legend for decades.

Tommy Emmanuel makes the GUITAR SING.

I haven't seen anyone better.
