I totally understand why the first two songs were requested (they were singles, popular etc), but I knew this song would hit for you more. It’s so beautiful.

I would honestly do the whole album if you have the time, the entire project is so cohesive and each song kind of feeds into the next. Every song uses a different saint for inspiration and a different language is sung because of this. But if you want to keep doing single songs I'd recommend La Yugular, Mio Cristo Piange Diamanti and Magnolia for a listen.

I found it so interesting to learn that in early Christianity, there were many interpretations of Mary of Magdala as a metaphor for women as truth-bearers and saviours of humankind. MM was a deliberate opposite to Eve to show that women aren't doomed to be sinful. It's also fascinating to think how through the loss of or immense change in storytelling and historytelling, we have also lost the ability and importance of people/figures being depicted as contradictory and "un-fixed"

Mark, listen to Mio Cristo Piangi Diamante it’s from the same album. She sings in Italian and her vocals are out of this world, seriously

I interpret this one as finding the divine in her life, in herself and in her relationship, how even though she's been broken and hurt in the past, light still shines through the cracks. She talks about how the ghost/holy spirit is still alive and then says I'M still alive, as if she has pushed through something to find inner peace. She talks about her body being a rosary, so imo how her current relationship is synonymous with love, reverence and worship. And she talks about inside/outside, maybe meaning trying to find the divine in life and within herself?? Idk 😂 this one is hard to interpret.
