The Mr Katz route in flipside genuinely might be the most helpless I’ve ever felt playing a game. I don’t hate flipside as much as most, but the game’s overuse of feet and overall lower quality is really disappointing as I feel it outright contains the best written route in the series. Despite the reputation it has now, I can’t help but still love this series despite how hopeless the franchise seems now after that terrible puzzle game. While extremely edgy, the humor of the first two games still hits for me and I do think the series shows sparks of really good writing.

when I first got into class of 09, it's because of the whole fandom because of how supportive and kinda talented, but in my opinion, the game itself is kinda shit and the writing is kinda shit
One of the characters is so dumb or unlikeable, except for Karen because she deserves better

Ty for using and crediting my art dude,  this video was very fun to listen to

was on the toilet until i saw this upload and my shit slid IMMEDIATELY out 🙏

Genuinely feel bad for the people that didn't get to experience the Pre-Flipside days of the franchise.

We were an actual fanbase like any other. Fanfics, great fanarts, headcanons, theories and there was genuine hype behind Flipside, SBN3 was still a weirdo but he mostly just kept to himself. Then Flipside came out and everything started going downhill from there. The merch has all been awful (Just look at how hideous the shoes are), the anime is pretty much in limbo and I doubt it's ever gonna come out, and the puzzle game was garbage too.

Legit sad to see how what could have turned into a great, if niche, franchise, just fell off completely because its' creator is either incompetent or just spiteful.

Honestly though the fact that SBN3 was so mad about Flipside's reception that he actually paid Kayli Mills to dub an ad for the Jecka plushie where he calls everyone that didn't like it a pedo was the only funny thing that came out of it for me.

My new favorite chazington clone

dan schneider of 09

It always surprises me when SML gets referenced in literally anything. I know it's obviously really popular. But at the same time, in my head I always conceptualize it as being at least a little obscure.

Class of '09 was fucking lightning in a bottle that actually did some good in the world before Flipside and everything after that, I' ve seen people saying that Class of 09 helped them realise they were CSA victims, people saying it stopped them from committing suicide, among a million other things, and SBN3 went and fucked everything up

Class of 09 like. A huge digital footprint for anyone who played it.

Class of 09 vidoes are always peak.

28:01 tbh I think that the dad's voice actor carried the scene, his voice acting is phenomenal especially the way he switches tones

Failed at how it was meant to be perceived, but still praised for the what it is

I've known about Class of '09 for nowhere near as long as you, but I already knew the story and how everything fell to shit. Plus some of the shit the creator did.

I clicked to hear what you had to say about it, for I will never in my life play the games or watch the anime. It's the one piece of problematic media I choose not to touch.

like jughead to archie's girlfriends, i just don't get what these folks see in this game

Dudes really play Class of 09

Class of 09 mentioned in 2026 lol ?? Yay

The first 2 games are still classics to this day, despite all the nonsense especially now.

The first vid I see while watching this is the class of 09 sacrifice theory.
