The thing about being homesick after a long time away is that it’s kind of an illusion. You go back, only to realize you’re now homesick for another place. Then you return to where you live now, feeling even more confused. It’s like chasing a version of “home” that keeps moving—no matter where you are, part of you is always somewhere else.

What beautiful content. I’m sorry that it comes from going through a dark night of the soul, but it is so refreshing seeing a truthful, vulnerable and realistic perspective of life. You are honestly doing everything so right, so you are setting such a good example to all your audience. Life sometimes isn’t pretty and it takes a very slow pace, and this is where you learn to understand, love and pamper yourself, before the external world can show up for you and do the same. It’s so important to learn how to do life without doing too much, doing the most with the minimum effort, so when life soon gets a lot happier and exciting you will be ready to manage all the new relationships/commitments.

日本で長く1人で暮らすのは大変ですね。海外暮らしで毎日同じことの繰り返しの生活が続いたり、問題が発生した時はストレスを感じ、母国の食べ物や風景がすごく恋しくなります。生活の中で旅行に行ったり違う町を訪れたり変化を作りリセットするか、でもダメな場合は一度母国へ旅行で帰るしか方法がないと思います。長い日本生活の中でマンネリ化しているのではないでしょうか？日本人にも、そう言う時がありますよ。頑張ってください。無理せずにね。

When I feel blue I watch an uplifting movie.

It's like: Hey seerasan, welcome to your 30s: keeping up health, retail restraint, where has time gone actually. Keep up the faith, we all cope 🤗

What I recently learned is that excessive consumption of wheat products, dairy products, vegetable oils, and sugar can lead to various health problems. For example, gluten can disrupt immune function and contribute to conditions like atopic dermatitis (affecting skin cells) and rheumatoid arthritis (affecting nerve cells). Similarly, sugar temporarily boosts mood by releasing pleasure-inducing chemicals in the brain, but this effect is short-lived, leading to increased cravings for sugar and potentially developing into an addiction. This can then lead to emotional instability.

Hope you are feeling better soon Sarah! There are so many of us who really enjoy your content. In fact I recently did my 4th trip to Japan and visited a few places that you have suggested on Youtube and IG (Bar k36 in Kyoto and Byron Bay Coffee in Daimon to name a few).
