How much weight can we drop from the RS7 with a carbon crank upgrade? We swap the stock setup for Branta carbon fiber cranks, a compatible XDS power meter, and a SRAM DUB bottom bracket—and put everything on the scale.

Our size-medium RS7 goes from **18.43 lbs to 17.64 lbs**, a savings of **0.79 lbs (about 358 grams)**. Both weigh-ins are without pedals, with the bike set up tubeless and fitted with bottle cages and a front mount.

The swap wasn’t completely straightforward: the stock chainrings’ pin didn’t clear the new crank and power meter setup, so we switched to 50/34 chainrings. We also went from 170 mm crank arms to 162.5 mm to get closer to Aaron’s bike-fit recommendation.

Upgrade cost shown in the video:
• XDS power meter: $282
• Bront carbon fiber cranks: $372
• SRAM DUB bottom bracket: $41
• 50/34 chainrings: $70
*Total: $765*
