These mora knifes where not designed to shave peaches. They are a good quality utility knife tool box and camping . If you lose it in the bush you do not have to see a therapist or your bank manager

The problem is that it's too cheap. If this blade cost $200, fanbois and knife nerds would come up with endless excuses for it's shortcomings.

I used to dislike the idea of the plastic sheath, but it is handy for a lot of in and out usage, it is also very sanitary and easily cleaned.

I prefer the stainless version. Of course, I dont try to cut concrete or steel with it or try to pry open a car door, so it holds up very well.

I use both of them. I like the idea to do everything with a €15 knife that my mates can do with €100 - 250 knives.

I have both. I use the carbon for woodworking and stainless in the kitchen for preparing meat mainly. I don't have chips with the stainless. I hit bones occasionally with it. Still doing fine.

Thanks for this review Green Beetle. I use these for work quite a bit (they get lost regularly). I find them to be great value for the money, though some have been prone to chipping like you say.

0:51 THANK YOU!!!! I tried searching for that information a couple of years ago with no results! I couldn't find it on Mora's site, couldn't find it in a forum post, and every video I watched up until this one never mentioned it! Sure, I could find a few videos on making the blade a true scandi grind by removing the micro bevel, but nothing on what it's angle was.

Edit: I guess I should have tried the search again after AI got integrated on google. It gave me the result of 35 to 45.

I own both. I also own $200 knives but I find I just grab the carbon mora when I head out to the Olympic national forest. I just don't want dirt and sap all over my expensive knives. 🤷‍♂️

The sound of that first carbon steel rope cut is very satisfying. Hard to beat a Mora for a fixed blade utility knife at the price point.

These things are the Stanly Boxcutter of tradesman utility knives for a reason. Apart from if you put them down for 5minutes they do evaporate into thin air, but they're really very good pretty much anywhere that needs a rope cut, fish gutted or paint lid pried up.
