Thing is tho once he got deeper into the game his opinion went from "the worst fighting game im recent memory" to "I had fun, just needs some work" so he kinda just proved people right about his initial thoughts

"Sonic really exploits just how cheap this character can be" I feel like that's kind of always been sonics style. Not in a discrediting way, they just seem to always exceed at maximizing some character with layers/cheap/setup playstyles. INJ2 Captain Cold, MKX Erron Black, MK11 D'Vorah, MK1 Rain. They got an unnatural knack for those archetypes imo.

He didn't just win. He 6-0d in the grand final

>people say sonic isn't enjoying the game because they aren't winning
>"proves them wrong" by winning
>"i had fun"
Curious

The framework of this video is so disingenuous, he's not a victim in this scenario and a vast majority of people who called him out for his claims aren't automatically ' haters '.  Sonic was the one who said "this game is one of the worst games ive played" (proceeded to slightly walk it back after winning ceo), 'this game has no mix' (proceeds to do 5 way corner stealing goblizzy mixups), and 'nobody is letting me voice my opinion' (universally celebrated as one of the greats, he has 300,000 twitter followers, 400k youtube followers, was given a mic on stage, etc. holding someone to something they said a week ago isn't censoring them).  He is undeniably talented, but for whatever reason has a permanent victimhood complex that this video for some reason is playing into.

Hope Go1 gets well soon. I want to see him cook in this game.

I was watching this live with a friend. Sonicfox basically flipped the leffen set around after that big super whiff and something very similar happened in losers finals. After it happened in losers finals I commented "sonicfox is going to win the tournament because he apparently has plot armor".

You know why I love watching your channel? Because you explain everything so well that it allows everyone to know exactly what’s going on. I never played competitively so I need all these things explained and You make it so fun to watch and please keep doing your thing because you’re making great content, keep it coming because it truly makes a difference bro! 👍🏻

This is why Hotashi had to beat SonicFox in that online Evo when Strive came out 👀

I won't say this game doesn’t have flaws, because it does, I'm not delusional, but genuinely where is the "worst fighting game" take actually coming from that's far from true.
People genuinely just say things for shock value then pull back severely these days and when they get flack for it they act like they didn't just intentionally try and get that attention 💀

Sonicfox is an amazing player who uses being experienced as a substitution for actually explaining/engaging with arguments

People were definitely letting Sonic voice their opinion of "no mix" and "worst game evaaaarrr", and then they just go "sike, it was just to troll y'all". Honestly, nobody needed to STFU before the game fully settled than SF.

the real mix is how sonicfox cant decide whether tokon is good or not

Justin should swap Wolverine for GHost rider to catch high jumpers with 2H where wolverine was too short lol

Correct me if I'm wrong but when you roll forward you get an extra frame of invincibility upon recovering.
Now left him. Didn't have super obviously cuz he could have just woke up super before Goblin or blade would have hit him.

However, in this case I'm pretty sure he could have inputted ex spider sense and it would have beat all of that

I’m just really happy that someone like Green Goblin is considered a threat.

I want to say I'm glad Sonic's attitude is getting such pushback in the popular comments down there. "I won this out of spite" is a really terrific way of spitting on all the people who actually went there to play, and in a lot of ways the whole community.

whatever SonicFox does works, and has worked for over a decade - they're unquestionably one of (if not number 1 on the list of) most successful FGC players of all time. can't deny them that, so please don't try. they're just cheesing particular character types nobody else thought to cheese or bothered trying - if it were so easy, everyone would do it. but I do really hate how Sonic's approached this championship and is now treating this win: by gloating and lording over the community like that.

then, to top it all off, trying to have it both ways [!] with "I BEAT YOU ALL OUT OF PURE SPITE. had fun tho". that's gross. nobody said the best ever also had to be gracious at it.

SF: “There’s no mix”
Also SF: “picks the character with the most mix in the game”

I hope Arc sys makes more deep characters like Green Goblin.  He has so many layers. It's already  beautiful to watch, and he's nowhere near optimized. . MORE of this Arcsys 👍

O no, the “haters” never even let Sonic open his mouth. Bro has 300,000 followers, and is regarded at a GOAT of the genre. He’s at nearly every big event and is usually given a mic to speak. No one is silencing him
