Whoever picked up this course 25 years ago can consider themselves extremely fortunate. Every episode is filled with gold nuggets even if you know most of this stuff. Scotty definitely has the gift when it comes to teaching and making music theory approachable. Best and most complete guitar learning series on YT, hands down. Scotty's hand drawn charts are quite amazing too. I can only imagine how much time when in to prep, layout, drawing them, etc.
This particular lesson has connected a lot of dots for me. My understanding of the fretboard has improved a lot from just this lesson even though I've been learning music theory on and off for more than ten years now. Definitely recommending this course to others! Thank you Scotty!
did you practice your scales today? did you play chord changes along with a rhythm machine? you have to stay on it so they clap and throw money instead of throwing you out of the band!
I can't wait till the day when I can finally take all this knowledge and apply it. There's still a long long way to go but it will be an amazing feeling
I’ve been studying with Scotty for 5 months. Everything now is falling into place and it will for you too if you keep at it. This program is brilliantly planned and explained. I have reached lesson 20, but go back on previous lessons and am stunned at what I missed. I’ve been practicing every day for 5 months my finger patterns within the modes, and now that I’ve gone back to intervals and listen to the lessons over again, everything is starting to make sense. Scotty should be charging multiple times more than $20. because all the lessons are there on video. I feel like a thief! Probably the best taught and well thought out program on the market. If i took a multiple choice test on this topic, i could probably get a good score, but this video still made even more connections for me just from the interval chart and his explanation angle. 🤯

Now that you understand intervals, you have to memorize them all 4 ways. THINK - READ - HEAR - SPEAK
