Do you hear from this message how important it is to not shrink from what an apostle said? He said it's more important than living to not shrink....I hope I remember this from here during quarantine and shelter in place and onwards for whatever signs of the times comes from here on out.....Let us not shrink in our faith, in our happiness and in our charity and hope #FaithUP

I think this is one of the most important lessons we can learn, "But if not..."

This is such an important talk. I need to be reminded over and over that my faithfulness should not be dependent upon receiving the blessings I want.

It's so sweet when we can trust in the name of the lord Jesus Christ and take him at his words amen

life does not get easier the closer we get to Jesus, but our understanding of our trials and their purpose in our life becomes more apparent, and through strength we receive, from knowing our true relationship to the eternal world and God the Father and His Son, Our Savior, Jesus Christ, Our life takes on a deeper perspective of who we really are and how deeply they love us and knows who we really are and will become.

Having been at deaths door at least twice in my life, by my own imperfections, and having been promised that all would be alright, this talk has been all the more insightful to me, I recommend you watch this talk several times, particularly if you are facing possible dire events in your life - and have faith to accept the lords will in your life, instead of your own, it may, in hind sight
be the wisest course you could take .. and I hope to meet you on the other side of life (for both our sakes), look for me there, and I pray for all of you here.. please be open to this message, in this time of worldly trial.. and be at peace.. 10-3-2017 @ 1pm pst.

Thank you with all my heart Sister and Elder Bednar for the spirit that I had felt while you both were sharing God's message.

Thank you sister and Elder Bednar for taking the time to teach us these marvelous Mysteries we seek. And everyone that had questions thank you for asking these questions. By you taking time to ask these questions you have helped us all thank you.

After any moment of great revelation and illumination may we never shrink, for not shrinking IS really MORE important than SURVIVING...thank you Elder Maxwell for still speaking from beyond the grave about keeping and increasing the faith...And of course to our beloved apostle Elder Bednar, who to me loves the Lord so much, and it seems to me, seeks always for the words to say that will pierce every heart.  His words call all to come unto Christ because he has prayed, and carefully thought to be a mouthpiece of god filling EACH and EVERY word WITH the spirit of god..

i love when i can find light in Internet, like this messege

Powerful message by Elder Bednar and his wife. We have been blessed this later days with apostles and prophets

9yrs on and I've learn a lot.....Thanks elder Bednar

Elder Bednar is a humble man. He will lovingly listen to a talk from anyone, even a child.
The speakers of all devotionals are introduced in this way, because devotionals are in a school setting. The introduction serves in the same way as a citation would in a paper. It lets the students know a bit about their speaker.
Joseph smith, the man through whom God restored his church, had very little education. "That I might show forth my wisdom through the weak things of the earth." D&C 124:1

A wonder talk. We are indeed bless to know our Father love  us all

Thank you Elder Bednar and John and Heather for sharing your wisdom

Faith is shown by working towards.Jesus wasnt just commanding to be healed but he reached out and (worked) pick them by the hand and LIFTED.

Amen.
Thank you Elder Bednar, thank you very much for your example of discipleship and for this much needed talk during this season of my life. ❤️

Wonderful message. When you think you have faith, you realize you actually don't have much.

Oh,,, I thank our dear Heavenly Father for the healing of a tumor in my finger, in 2021. Also, I thank our dear Heavenly Father for being healed in another finger, just this month, from complications from a finger stick

At 38, married and had children. I was diagnosed with malignant Melanoma Cancer. I had a blessing.  never fearing with faith.  We went in for the biopsy and waited for the results. The Doctors were deeply surprised that instead of burrowing down to the bone as 99% normal, it went sideways staying on the surface. I did not need chemo but had a 4x4 inch slab of flesh removed.  Over the last 20 years, I have had three more Malignant Melanomas and each time it did the same with the same procedure following with no Chemo.  I am now 68 and still love serving in the Church.  It is my faith in Christ and his purpose for me that kept me from death.  As I grow older it is the same trust in Christ even as I come closer to it naturally.
